"There are so many lies that the anti-EoC players are willing to believe.
For example:
- The poll was rigged"
Yeah, it was rigged. It was rigged to where if anyone didn't answer "I don't 'like it" Failgex would view the response as positive. We were given multiple choices on the question do you like the end of combat when it should have been a yes or no.
Also, the poll was quite buggy as was the tutorial. Now I've experienced bugs in game and I can understand an honest mistake or some oversight. However multiple bugs in the tutorial as well as a bug in the survey is suspicious. Also failgex never advertised the poll in game like they do for the squeel of misfortune and solomon's death store. It seems like Failgex just wanted to release the poll to the users who played the end of combat regularly. They put a news feed up but didn't make it a main one so that they can say "nope we told the entire player base about it" when in fact they didn't try very hard to advertise it.
"- The people were payed"
I think some people are saying that as a jest. I certainly don't believe it nor do I care if they were or not.
"A homepage poll is more fair than a poll that requires you to ACTUALLY TRY THE UPDATE"
Yes it is and let me tell you why. A homepage poll is free from bugs. Failgex can make the poll and make it to where you have to be logged in the forums in order to answer it. Failgex can also institute that a minimum of 1 hour needs to be spent in the end of combat before the poll becomes answerable.
Was it fair that a poll was made to bring back free trade/wild when there were players who joined after trade was restricted? They never knew how the old wild was or experienced free trade. So would it have been right to exclude them from that poll? No.
Even with the minimum of 1 hour spent playing the end of combat, I am quite confident that the majority of poll respondents would answer no to liking the end of combat.
