That is the problem, you are trying to make this game exactly like the other online games. I myself have never played WOW or any other game but from what i hear and what i have read this game is basically the same thing just worse. I understand that you got to make updates and changes, but why would you go so far to change the game completely and take away what got you to were you are at today?? You took away special attacks and added an action bar...
Think about it if anyone wanted to play with an action bar they would have played another game but no we chose Runescape for the uniqueness.
I ended my membership 1 month before the EOC took place so that my membership ended couple days before. I decided to give it a chance just a few days ago because i miss the game that i loved to play. After two days i already canceled my membership again.
Ill tell you why, I have played this game for 8 years if not longer and i have dedicated many many hours into this game to get my account were it is at today and all the cash that i have. (I got about 10 accounts all different types of pures. Ill get to that later) I spent money on ranger boots, armadyl crossbow and that new off-hand dragon crossbow, fury, and kept my void to use as armour (let me just tell you how worthless void is now)...Also i figured out that stats don't mean anything anymore, it is all about the abilities which means why would i wanna train. I loved fighting and i would basically do nothing else but fight, well with this new system and the whole action bar i can't even get into this game at all. I tried to fight for about 2 hours and not one time did i get the feeling that i wanted to keep doing this. I ended up selling all the items that i bought, we'll...that took about 1 hour itself because nothing would sell (not knowing that everything is crashing) i ended up taking about a 10m lose. All those years playing to even make the 70m that i have and i lose 10m of it just like that.

Now ill get to the point on my other 10 accounts.
I know that you have already took this into consideration and understand everything about making a system so that there are no pures, but I just don't understand how you have even looked at this issue.
When you create a combat system that every account is almost similar and eliminate pures then you lose many new created accounts.
You lose
Obby maul pures
Range pures
Melee pures
Magic pures
20 att high str pures
Range tanks.
Many MANY more types of pures.
All you have is basically the same type of account everyone trying to get 99 stats for the most part. Well i do recall that when JAGEX reached there 200m accounts created mark it was a VERY big deal and you had a big update about it. Well you know that it would have never of happened if you have the EOC update because noone would need to make more then one account anymore. If you want this number to go up well then the EOC update just isn't gonna cut it. (beside the point this also messes with the RS economy because when you lose pures then you no longer have a wilderness, which means not as much food is being sold, which also means that noone is gonna wanna fish) you see that messes with skills now.
ALSO this becomes an issue on your part because RS players used to have more then one account and they used to pay for memberships on both accounts if not more (i had 3 accounts that were members).
If you honestly think that this EOC update is the future of this game we'll then i'm glad for you but from the way that i look at it and the way thousands of other dedicated players look at it, it is not at all.
Please bring back the PRE-EOC that is all we are saying.

***. Wiggless port two - Yes, many types of pures are no longer feasible. However, new types of pures can be made now that neither prayer nor constitution affect combat level. I know several players that have started member accounts to become prayer/constitution or defense pures.

It seems to me like EoC has hardly affected the economy. For a player with a diversified bank such as myself, I have found that as many items have spiked as have crashed. A quick glance at the item group indices available at the runewiki ge page confirms this observation.

Thank you Jagex for taking steps to ensure that the economy remains as stable as possible, and thank you also for taking steps to create unique properties for items that used to have special attacks.

Finally, please accept my apologies for other players who are less prepared to embrace change. I'm sure they will come around when they realize how much improvement has been made to the game.

improvement ? you can no longer Chin , and lots of monsters no longer auto ... and it takes a lot longer to get xp oh yea real improvement ( Bepulse ) , the new special thing is awsome and a few other things but they messed stuff up that should have been left alone ... you also get hurt alot more with prayer ... almost no sense in having it ...

First of all, I'd like to giggle for the fact that you told me to use momentum.
Momentum is a ****** ass update that doesn't feel anywhere close to the old-style combat.
While in momentum am I able to pull out my hand cannon and special with it?? Can I use my zanik's crossbow special. Any of the weapons that worked hard for years to achieve, can I use the special on them?? Oh didn't think so, and ALSO I am a player that likes to fight in wildy you know PVP. I'm not even able to use momentum in pvp which means I'm not able to ever "fight" like pre-eoc with this momentum ********.

I was gonna type a few things about this but I decided to just say you got a little bit of **** on your nose it looks like and your a *** for even saying something like this.

Yes, you have messed up your game, thrown thousands off - never to return - and your head of graphics thinks himself a genius.

Mod MMG wrote a whimper of an apology for not listening to us and to maybe, hopefully stop some more players from becoming more frustrated and quit like so many have since November. So, mess up the economy some more. Write everything in stone except your wages. I have seen the daily visit tally for RuneScape and it is down, down, down.

You won't change this game to anything but worse and worse. Best thing you all can do at Jagex is sell this game or look for new jobs. Jagex needs to fire a multitude of people top down and get a fresh start. Graphics needs a clean out. CEO absolutely needs a change.

The majority of your players are bots and, as I saw on a Youtube post yesterday, Jagex cannot as of now really afford to get rid of the paying bots as they are now the underpinning of the game.

So, how is the EOC thingy workin' out for ya?
