Also there seems to be some confusion. For those doing the combat academy now (in the live game) you needed to complete this during the Beta period, to be eligible for the exp reward. The Beta is closed now, and it's all gone live, so it's too late to earn this exp reward now, sorry.

"If you're eligible to receive the XP reward from taking the Combat Academy survey in the EoC beta period, he will tell you he has an item for you, and the XP can be acquired from the dusty tome he will hand over. Simply activate the item and choose the skill in which you wish to receive the XP reward, which will be ten times as much as you'd receive for redeeming a Jack of Trades reward in that skill!

jagex im sry about this but yea i really tried to enjoy the eoc and at first i was happy about it but i have now pked for the last 3 days and i do not know what it is, its not the game i grew up with and its just boring now :( so im dropping my mem maybe one day i will return

I got my beta outfit.. but no xp lamp? I definitely did the stupid combat academy, I don't remember if it even gave me the option for the survey..
Thanks for wasting another hour of my life.. I 100% WOULD NOT have wasted my time doing the thing if I didn't think I was going to get that xp
You were definitely not that clear that the survey had to be done, and if it didnt come up automatically how was I to do it anyway?

Its not awesome i first of all i would like to say ive played this game and payed for memberships on 3 diffrent accounts since rs2 day 1 when i saw that the evolution of combat came out i tried it thinking it would be fun at first well sadly i almost cried you and the other company members have really messed up the game for me thats just my opinion not trying to be rude or anything but is there anyway possible you could make rs2 and runescape eoc 2 diffrent games like yall did for beta? If you could do this id be the happiest guy alive i miss the old rs now theres so so much clicking maybe we could take a vote on it and see who wins that would at least seem fair well anyways please respond to this message and if you dont then ill just miss the game that has broiught many hours of fun and adventure to my life I guess ill just have my childhood memories left Thanks jagex

I, also did the combat training thing during the beta, but have not received my lamp. Yes, I have talked to Diango...no option to claim the lamp. I got the mad scientist outfit, but again, not my xp. It has been a good amount of time now, so I don't know what is wrong. I did fill out the survey completely, and sent it in. I got the message saying the XP will come after the EoC went live, and even got disappointed by this b/c it wasn't instant.

I believe I also restored from live after this...that may have messed it up. Not sure...
