Jagex just tried to wish everyone Merry Christmas and yet people still want to complain about the EoC?

I find it depressing that people that're pro eoc seem to think they have some kind of moral high ground over people who chose to ultilise thier right to criticise jagex and bring up discussion on a public forum.

Jagex said it was a brilliant year, as far as I'm concerned, and this is probably the same for a few others, this year was marred by so much disapointment.
Notice nowhere they mention the failiure of botany bay/bot watch in their post? Notice how they assume we all think eoc is brilliant?
Notice nowhere they mention the dwindling player base?

People are just pointing this out, I don't understand how this bothers you so much.

I'm not for the EoC, nor am I against It, but I am sick of coming on here and seeing nothing but anti-EoC posts on every forum/thread I go on. I can agree this is one of the worst years in RuneScape's history when it comes to updates.

Let's see:
-2 pointless microtranscations (You notice my K'ril helmet, I regret buying the Runecoins for it, but I just use it for cosmetic purposes)
-Nothing but revamps of areas and no new areas added (except for Player owned Ports, one of the best updates)
-The Evolution of Combat according to many players, I don't agree with this, but a lot of players hate It.
-The pointless revamp of Barrows and Regular armours many players hated.
-The Easter and Haloween Holiday events were team-based and nobody wanted it, Christmas Holiday event did not offer much content.

Those are the main factors of this year, and I see it on almost every forum as I said.

No, it doesn't bother me to see people "point this out" as it may make Jagex improve (if they read it). But it bothers me to see it on every News Discussion thread or forum.

When I read this article I was starting to get into it, reading faster, moving to the edge of my seat heheh! I cannot wait till 2013! Also kudos on the club packages, they're very interesting since membership already costs close to the amount being paid, I like the idea. Good job JaGeX keep it up!

Whoa, that's a nicely packed 2013 forecast! I think this is the year I re-sub and start playing RS again. Especially looking forward to RS on tablets! Forget bus rides, lounging at bed RS is the way to go!

My only wish is that there was some sort of way to avoid the toxic community that the game seems to have pulled in the last few years. Then again, it was probably always that way, but time shifts perspectives.

I'd like to wish a MERRY CHRISTMAS to the person that is the reason why I still play this game, and unfortunately it isn't JaGeX...

To do next year to re-gain my support:

- BOT NUKE
- REMOVE EOC
- REMOVE SOF
- REMOVE SOLOMON

Oh right, then JaGeX wouldn't get any money... But you would get the 2006scapers back. That means more paying members, real players and not bots.
