Quite an interesting story about how youngsters perceive certain characters. When I read the description, I thought it kind of weird that this would be a Christmas-themed story involving the Raptor, as the Raptor doesn't really strike me as the holiday type.
And as it happened, it seemed Christmas was basically a backdrop for most of it. It was basically a kid sights his hero during the winter for the most part.
So, it seems to me that the Raptor wasn't impressed so much by the snowball as he was by the kid's repeating his 'Worth comes from battle' line. Is that an accurate assesment?
As for the horses, RuneScape has always been very inconsistant as to whether or not horses even exist in the Gielinor universe. Sometimes they're spoken of as actually existing, other times they're treated as if the horse/unicorn relationship of our world is reversed in Gielinor (in other words, while unicorns are commonplace, it's horses which are considered mythical creatures who people don't believe actually exist. i.e. 'Wow! A unicorn without a horn?').
But anyway, I did think it strange that Ariane, Ozan, and the Raptor were going to leave riding horses. Couldn't they just teleport someplace closer to where they're going?
