Until now I'd left my subscription active even during long periods of inactivity... that may have to change.

As for Walmart, they seem very a..damant .. about a US billing address so no go (see? I was even nice enough to try.. three payment methods even).

So for a free $35 pet, I'm out of luck because of where I live, but I got the option of a $75 subscription for one of those pets?

Simple idea, Jagex... the bronze membership thing? How about an ONLINE, as in runescape.*** site, offer where I can sub for 3 months and pay an extra $5 for the pet?

Your marketing guys apparently need to be dressed in Juventus colors and sent for a stroll down Manchester.

...have you seen the offer they have on for credit/debit card users right now?
Just buy the pet with the RuneCoins from that, cripes...

Was I the only one who got a Bloodpouncer for free as well as a 25$ gift card for the Jagex store in my e-mail? o_o

I was really surprised and thought it was a prank, but the e-mail came from the Jagex billing e-mail address and the bloodpouncer was indeed added to my account.

To get your own bloodpouncer, you'll need to buy any 90 or 100 day RuneScape game card at any retailer – or a red RuneScape pre-paid card – and redeem it between the 20th December 2012 and the 31st January 2013 (inclusive).


As a little pressent to myself I bought the red RuneScape pre-paid card and used it on Rune Coins and Spins since I already have several Months of Membership left. And to my great shock I was not given the Bloodpouncer I was promised. Naturally I am torn between how much I enjoy this game and how much I HATE being stolen from.

If you must use the red RuneScape pre-paid card on the membership only then you should darn well say so.

Update: got the Walmart card.. trick is to pay with Paypal (grrrrrrr i didn't wanna open a paypal account, but ohwell) so that billing address ends up as "email"... took a couple of tries, granted, but that may be credit card systems being jammed for Christmas season.

Anyhoo... Jagex... AWESOME game, but your marketing leaves some to be desired. I hope the reactions on this thread are providing you with good lessons.

You see personally I think it's stupid. I wanted the Bloodpouncer most out of the 3 pets.

Why should I pay £20 for some membership, when I pay £3.20 already by direct debit?

What am I suppose to do to get it? Waste £20 buying a needless membership card?

As for the Gold m'ship pack. I'm quite happy paying £3.20 p/m as across the year it is cheaper than the Gold pack AND I don't really need any of the optional extras you get.

So how do I get the Bloodpouncer...

Go to the billing support forum and head to the card redemption issue sticky and explain the problem. They may tell you to submit a bug report, but at least make them aware.

I spent my red pre-paid card on runecoins and I got my bloodpouncer. Some players re having issues with the cards.
