Do you still recieve the pet even with a $25 pre paid game card and use it to get rune coins instead? I already have 6months of membership... i dont really want another 3months.... can someone answer my question?

Is Jagex serious right now? The number of people they only just recently con'd into getting bronze, silver, and gold premier memberships (My own including) in consideration, We should be given a special offer on these creatures outside of buying a 3 month card. I have a Gold 1 year membership subscription, why in the heck would I buy a 3 Month card to get this monster, if anything, Jagex should have this opened to players who bought into their premier club and stop making new ways to rob players of their money. I don't feel I should have to buy an extra 3 months membership on top of my 1 year Gold membership, and my recurring membership, I wont give IVP more money in micro-payments, while Runescape goes downhill.

I was really excited when the gold membership package came out with the item previously released. I have been a consistent member for over five year, and I was always a little mad when I saw the flaming skulls come out and I didn't need extra membership.

That being said. I am a little more angry that I'm missing out on a 50 dollar deal. I know I might be able to get the pet if I buy runecoins but I just got everything I wanted with the 2000 runecoins from the gold package.

I see a few easy fixes that I would like.

Meet some requirement to have access to these items such as:

Be it any combination or any individual requirement below

Be a gold premium member (silver or bronze) when the item came out.
Be a member for 12+ consistently (maybe less 6+ or 3+)
Have a total level over 1500 or combat level over 150
Be a member and have an account 5 years or older
Complete a special dungeon/quest/boss


On the other hand you could have monthly give away items such as January's item is the pet and February's item will be a new emote. These could be open to everyone who is a member at the time. And then you could advertise: join today and get January's item and every item there after if you stay a member. As things stand now, only the on and off members are able to take advantage of these deals and I find it a little unfair that I have to sit back and contemplate spending more money after I already put forth a big commitment as a gold member.

I also believe that gold membership will probably be a reoccurring thing in years to come and If I plan to get it every year, then these three months will be a waste of money trailing onto my yearly commitment as a gold member.

I really do hope that something will be done about this.

If you think everyone getting a free item each month is bad, remember that people that have been playing a long time have scyths and different holiday items and emotes. This would be no different. Everyone may get it this month but not next month.

you know its great that you reward people for buying rs cards with things like pets and flaming skulls! but what about those of us who use our debit cards for a regular membership, shouldnt we be rewarded with such things? would jagex rather we cancel our regular monthly memberships to go buy a card so we can get the cool free stuff too? I have been a member maybe missing 6 months total out of 4-5 years member, I want my free pet and flaming skull dangit!
