I tried to sign up for the gold option and I believe it gave me the bronze, if that. I don't really know 'cause my 'putor did some crazy things and booted me off. When I try to check the page shows me one month. How can I validate what I purchased?
Thanx LEC

Echoing many others in this thread, as a long term member who is grandfathered to $5.00 per month I must have an official answer regarding what happens at the end of the Premier Club membership. I *may* be willing to pay a slight premium for the other benefits associated with the Premier membership, but I am *not* willing to end up paying nearly $3.00 more per month on an ongoing basis at the conclusion of the one-year gold membership.

This is a simple question with a simple answer. It doesn't even really matter all that much what the answer is, but I refuse to make an uninformed decision. Please Jagex, it wouldn't take you two minutes to update the FAQ and/or to respond in this thread. Your loyal customers deserve clarity if nothing else.

Thanks.

IronChef, I know it's not direct from a JMod and so you may disregard if you wish, but Mod Chef himself sent me a message in my message centre when i contacted Billing Support yesterday about that very issue, and he said that if recurring subscription lapses for over 7 days for *any* reason, including bulk membership pre-purchase, legacy rates are forfeit. Need partner(s) to get 5k DA and Wildy kills for hats.
Need Fist of Guthix and Fight Pits partner(s) for hybrid armour pieces.
Need Fishing Trawler partner(s) for 5 shark teeth.

Jedi if that's the case... What a shame Jagex you're trying to trick old members into hiking up their membership by not giving an answer. I wont be buying the PM gold like I planed unless Jmod confirms that we keep are 5$ or if it gets jacked up.

"Ornate Katana, Green Skin, Turkey Hat, Barbed Bow, Flaming Skull, Scarecrow Mask and Lightning Pack"

I already own every item. Can you give an option to convert them to gold like on Squeal of Fortune for players that were already loyal to Jagex the full way thus far?

Maybe throw in a package deal for each item we already bought you could give us an added 10m. It's at least worth that ($5 per item converted on rsgp to usd going rate).

Thanks in advance!

Jedi, thanks for that info. I actually sent a message to billing support myself asking about it right after I posted here, so it should be interesting to see if the answer I get is consistent with what you were told. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised, but it's still very disappointing that Jagex would once again penalize their longest term and most loyal customers in this way, and even more disappointing that they don't seem to have the common courtesy to clarify their position in the forums.

Think about it. You LOYAL members who pay $5 a month are not keeping up with IVP's current income wants/projections. You are paying ~$36, a year less than their current full monthly price.

So, they try to trick you into giving up that lower price with all the 'dazzling' extras in a package. How does it feel to be seen by them as the dirty, fugly step child? How does it feel to be thrown by the wayside? What are you going to do about it?

THAT is why no jmod has answered your questions.

Do you really think that they could/would not just cancel that price anytime they chose to? Maybe they haven't due to CC companies that actually watch their customers backs...

so much for yet another lie by Jagex. They release new items claiming them to be "limited time" but I heard they sold these same items as package deals when they did their little Brittish wanna-be E3 gig, and now 2 years later trying to sell them off again in a year-package for $15 more than most pay for membership.

Here's the scam however. People are reading the fine print same way Jagex had to remove "do not want real world cash affecting in-game success" back in April 16th 2012 with "Buy Spins". The deal is buying a year of +$15 membership means your current *5/month membership from 2005 would be on hold until AFTER the year of gold membership runs out. And in the terms of $5/month membership if it lapses beyond 7 days for ANY reason you forfeit your old price and must pay their new higher price per month here on out.

So this is just a scam to get even more money out of everybody by tricking them in to losing cheap membership after they already promised back in 2005 how anybody that keeps paying per month would NEVER have to pay the new price every time this game raises the cost of membership.

If you currently have $5/month, DO NOT BUY THIS SCAM. You will be paying $3 more per month from then on.

Iron Chef, the ironic thing is that more than likely (and everything I say is with the assumption RS isn't ending in the imminent future) they will have another one of these next year, so it won't even matter about the loss of the legacy rate, I just do think it's an unfair (though financially profitable) decision to stop those rates. So despite their rate hikes and lack of response on the fora, they're probably assuming they've got my dollar regardless. One other big question is that if one were to get the package now, would the daily spins start 1 January and run out 21 December? Or would it go 1 Jan-31 Dec even though that's after the 1-year mark? Or 21 Dec to 21 Dec? Also are RuneCoins given initially, or periodically, or in a lump at the end of the year? Need partner(s) to get 5k DA and Wildy kills for hats.
Need Fist of Guthix and Fight Pits partner(s) for hybrid armour pieces.
Need Fishing Trawler partner(s) for 5 shark teeth.
