The problem is newer members get the perks and a discount
Long term members already have a larger discount.

Jagex should have jus* raised membership for everyone rather than this grandfathered in system they went with.

I figured saying 'kicking us out' wasn't the right choice of words. After finals, I pretty much lost my brain. But I hope you can get the picture, even though I can't explain it any better.

Or I'll try: what I was trying to say is that we are members, therefore we should get such bonuses, albeit not in mass quantities like this. We should already receive RuneCoins, maybe an allowance of 100 per month or less perhaps, just like the Loyalty Programme (which is seemingly dead content). We should already have these in-game vanity items, because we pay $5-*7.25 a month for these items to even be produced/developed.

Does this make any more sense?

But I agree, this is just a "kiddy cosmetic promo". An attorney defends a man sued for walking around town in his underwear. It was a brief case.

This is disgusting. Loyal Members have paid for years and get nothing. This would be more expensive for anyone with the old monthly rate. Infact none of these "additions" Squeal of Fortune and Solomon gimmicks are worth anything. Seriously, this is so bad. All i see is a company trying to make people too naive to see what Runescape is becoming to commit for a year. I highly doubt Runescape will be around for a year... And if it is it will be a completely different game. Wow..... this is disgusting, if i was rich enough i would buy out the company and fire every single mod/staff that supports these updates.

Ahahahahha not really if i was rich, I would spent it doing good in the world. I certainly wouldnt want to be related to this corrupted company that is destroying runescape.

I feel that I've achieved my goals to get the rare items, and plenty of gp BUT i got that through hard work. There was no need for gimmicks. This promotions are pathetic.

It pains me that new members wont be able to enjoy the game in its original form over the past 10 years.

I pay my $5/month due to nostalgia and my shrinking friend list, but all these new updates related to SOF and Solomon are horrid. AND certainly dont make me want to continue playing.

Surely a company as good as Jagex was could have come up with a better way of implementing ways to attract customers and get more revenue.

It's crazy that over the next year updates such as these will become standard if Jagex doesnt change the direction that the game is headed. Im sure that they might have some amount of members, whatever that'll mean then, but certainly not the dedicated and amazing people i have met in the past. The loyal members that made this game become what it was.

It is so sad that the game has gotten to this point....but i guess i'll have my memories of runescape in the past. Any one who denies that runescape is heading downwards is not looking at the bigger picture here*

It sounds to me like you are just complaining over not being offered these things for free just because you pay the $5 rate. May I remind you that you ALREADY get a discount and yet still demand that Jagex hand everything to you guys for free. A lot of people have played the same or perhaps longer than you but maybe have had membership lapse for over a week and thus would get nothing. That sound fair to you?

Even if other people have to pay less for the same thing, well boo hoo. Sometimes life isn't fair. Be grateful that you still can continue to have a less expensive $5 a month to pay for membership.

Wheres my premium? I guess 5 and a half years of continuous membership means nothing. Listen to your players for once and maybe this game wouldn't be dead. Also that move by mod mark was pathetic. Jagex stays the **** out of the market its always been like that .

Are you kidding me? Jagex already raised the price of membership, constantly upgrades and downgrades the game with a mix of good and bad updates, and *ow those who pay for membership are put at a disadvantage by a higher level of membership? Don't you guys realize when you're ruining an already good enough game? You can always just check the decline of players and take back the horrible updates, such as the evolution of combat. I swear Jagex needs to replace 90% of it's employess.
