I'm disappointed that you'd invite anyone to play this trash, but nonetheless it's your choice if you want to lose them as friends. They must become members in order to get your payed membership and free XP.

As for my opinion:
This is just another poor attempt for Jagex to start their "New Era" of Runescape. They don't realize how genuine this game was before. I hope this game gets remade into what it was before all of this trash, because this game is nothing but microtransactions, crap updates, rude gambling scammers and bots. I'm pretty fed up with it.
When I started playing everybody was more than happy to help me, and money actually meant something because you had to earn it. Now everything is given to you, and the community is nothing more than trolls and ragers. Sad days..

Two days ago i recruited a friend via email and my friend got 14days membership and bonus xp on his account but my account has had no change so...

Yeah it would be great if there was a reply to this post and also an answer to wether or not i may be able to stil recieve the rewards

it sure looks like this game is dying all the **** content that has been added all the skills that have been lowered and lowered and made so easy every idiot can get a skill under a week so no more honour in having one or getting one,

all the gamblers and botters that dont even play the game but are simply parasites and the worst part is, jagex needs them botters now and they need the gamblers cause they lost almost all honest 100% rs players last 3 / 4 years.,

after 2007/2008 everything got **** on runescape and now it is a commercilized mountain of poo, everything needs to earn money and the more **** is added like sof and salomons shop the more loyal honorable players will resist these changes thus the game losses more members thus jagex adds more junk to compensate for it all and this all leads to 1 thing THE END OF RUNESCAPE!!!

this is just one HUGH sad update this was never needed in old runescape (before 2007) because players used to invite their friends simply to play with their friends and have fun, that you now have to reward this only means 1 thing, jagex is desperate for new members cause lets be honest no one really plays this game anymore either you are a gambler or a botter and maybe 5% of the players in runescape are actual playing the game as is..

* this new update rewarding players for new recruites will draw a lot of new botters, here is a example, you make a new bot acccount, you let it be recruited into runescape by your main account, the bot keeps botting in the same world as your main account, your main account earned 30 days free members + earns 10% of everything (xp) the bots makes, even if the bot gets caught your main is safe and has colleced a lot of indirect bot xp..

if your bot gets caught then u do the same trick next month or the next day, you can even do this from home with 2 computers a

did jagex just invent a way to bot without getting caught?? the answer = YES

jagex made cheating/botting easy

step 1. go to a internet cafe / school/ work computer make a new ruenscape account

step 2. go home invite that accout to play runescape thus recruiting it into the game earning you 30 days free members, because they have diffrent ip/mac addresses this will not get noticed by jagex,

step 3. turn on your computers at home now the new account came through jagex security check (for same ip same mac address no match) you can now start botting with it. so turn on the bot program go in game start botting, now use your 2nd computer to put your main in the same world. (not nssassery but you get even more xp)

even if your bot gets caught (something that takes weeks even after it gets reported 100 times) your main account is safe cause it did not bot and is not resposibile for the bot account (it can (should be) be someone else)
so even if your bot gets caught and banned start again using step 1.

jagex made the perfect way to bot and not get caught.. its sad but true. i wish i was not this smart but iam and thus i can see this becomming a hugh new thing, jagex wont earn a thing cause they give away free members and the honest players (me) are stuck with more bots..

you dont even need to use 2 computers.,

step 1. use the recruite option to send your self a e-mail on a new e-mail address made for this purpose
step 2. go to itnernet cafe/school or work computer make a new account
step 3 your main now gets 30 days free members and minimal 10% of xp earned by recruited fake player.
step 4, play runescape with recruited new accoutn use it to bot 24/7 and you will earn xp for your main account, even if the bot gets caught your main is safe.
and if it dont get caught well that is a extra bonus then, and changes are good it wotn get caught i reported 1000000000000 bots and weeks later i still see them..

this game is dying!!! let it die with honour not with shame!!

Oh great....

Now all those chinese gold farming companies can abuse this and level their bots faster, all while getting free membership. LOL!

All they have to do is get one account to refer 15 others and have them all bot in the same area and hey presto, massive EXP gains.

I'm sure this is happening already, sorry to sound cynical but updates like this are conducive to cynicism.
