**face-palm**

Financially speaking, this is the death of RuneScape. Not only does this mean 60% of the community will never pay for membership ever again, but their experience earnings will skyrocket. After all, it would be unfair to ban a reffering account for the referred account botting, because they could have no way of knowing what this "friend" does on their spare time. So while the referred account (bot) can reap member benefits, so can the main. For the same price as just the main for one month. Assuming a majority of the community, and future community, has access to multiple computers, everyone would have the capability to bot without risk.

This leads me to my point of how people would then, without risk, earn massive amounts of exp to the main account and, could even claim the material rewards by trading with this botted account. All of this for the regular 'would-be-paid-anyways' monthly membership fee.

With such a undervaluation community, you will loose all remaining customer base.

Jagex please don't allow RuneScape to die.

Sincerly, Shadow--

A list of solutions to fix the game

-Remove the SoF and Solomon's.
-Actively Hunt bots.
-Do not change the stats on weapons and armour after release, unless grossly overpowered, or underpowered, although this should be tested prior.
-Make exp worth something.
-Return uniqueness to weapons and armour. (This all lvl 70 armour is equal is trivial.)
-Return the uniqueness of each god spell.
-Return weapon specific unique abilities.
-Remove the ability to gamble on flowers****: remove the randomness factor when planting, make visible only to planter etc.
-Make the momentum ability a 0% adrenaline ability

Then after this is done, recruit a friend. For no benefit, simply the fact that you want them to play the game with you.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again!

Just because you add a million ingredients to the soup, it doesn't mean the soup will appeal to everybody. It just tastes like poo.

The sooner you realize that constant expansion and development overload ultimately results in going beyond what's realistically possible to achieve for the average user, the clearer you will see the path forward for your company.

Yes, economies of scale can be achieved. But, Jagex's underlying flaw with RS is that the model assumes a constant, or at least consistent demand. To keep this ****istent, the company has introduced a litany of marketing and xp gain measures designed to address the all-too-real problem of development overload. It also has upgraded combat mechanics in an attempt to be on a similar menu as other soup makers. However, by doing these things the end product is radically different. It is no longer RS in a genuine sense. i.e., The delicious flavor of the soup has inextricably been changed. It comes as no surprise to me then, that necessarily the consumer base would change along with it.

I find it ironic that the company tries to appeal to the remaining eaters of its soup to go out and find new consumers and then reward them for it. In the end, word of mouth appears to be the only reliable marketing ploy. It's too bad their mouths are too full of poo to convince people that the soup tastes delicious.

IMO, you have to do something that accomplishes 2 things: 1) Simplify the recipe, and 2) make it delicious. This and only this will secure the long-term viability of the game. Will it happen? I sincerely doubt it. Making money is the name of the game. The pie-in-the-sky notion that the recipe was worth saving is long gone.

Cheers for the original recipe, I salute you.
