This comment (if read) will open your eyes to what those of us who are against the SoF (most of runescape) actually mean when we say SoF is a terrible update.
The fact you're using the number of people using the squeal of fortune as a way to defend it is a completely invalid argument, as these people aren't telling you whether they like it or not, they are simply using it because it's easy, free, and SLAMMED RIGHT IN THEIR FACE upon login.
Your long term players resent this update and many other recent updates JaGEx, because the majority of them worked hard to achieve everything that they have in this game, and although a lot of players probably enjoyed playing the game for their goals it is still painstakingly frustrating to see some kid with rich parents spin non stop for an hour to get the item/s he/she wants, just because they have the irl cash to spare. THIS IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN FOLLOWING TOMORROW'S UPDATE.
The squeal itself isn't the main problem, as the drop rate of rare items was so improbable that no real harm could of come from it. The problem was that you decided to let people BUY THEIR SPINS WITH REAL WORLD MONEY, which is completely against everything you stood for back in 'the good ol days'; this problem is further increased by the fact that you're planning on buffing up the items and coins etc that you can 'win' on the squeal.
THE SQUEAL OF FORTUNE ITSELF IS PRETTY HARMLESS TO RUNESCAPE, IT'S THE BUYING OF SPINS WITH IRL CASH THAT NOBODY LIKES.
Now... I use the forums a fair bit and I have not seen ONE thread where people are complaining that the drops from SoF are too infrequent or invaluable, so where exactly are you getting this from? Because it's not us forum users.
TL;DR: Expected.
If anybody comes across this post and agrees with me, can you state it in your post? I would greatly appreciate it and I think JaGEx needs to see it, thank you.

I agree with Addict Cal about the real world money buying. To be honest, I have NEVER tough about buying extra spins because the "high value" items have never come into my inventory through the wheel. So, with that history, why would I add to my credit card balance for the chance to get the same, uh.... non-high value item? Doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to figure that one out.
If I knew the way to buy spins for good stuff, I'd buy a lottery ticket, for sure.

Fake "statistics" again as a sorry excuse to ignore what players really want.
After making real world trade an integral part of the game, Jagex is now lowering their prices in order to better compete with other real world traders on the market. (And no, calling a cow a horse won't make it jump the fence.)
I'll keep true to my pledge and destroy all 'free' spin tickets Jagex forces on me.
I regard this new try to bribe players into "liking" the real world trade scheme as an insult - don't assume players are corruptible just because you, Jagex, sold out.

jagex........ please just stop it with the sof updates there are just to many and its getting very annoying....... i didnt have a problem with sof till u guys made your 'great' move and made spins buyable :/
