Overall I don't have anything against the Wheel. Mini-games gave presents too, and it follows the fun factor. But the thing I don't like, is that f2p can roll out member items, and when that happens, they lose the roll. Why? I know the answer...
But this needs to be corrected, make a f2p wheel, and a p2p one, its not that hard to code it, and voila, everyone's happy, or at least almost everyone.

I thoroughly enjoy using the squeal of fortune and believe this addition is a good one, as i will not constantly get the 50gps any more!
However, i do agree that it is unfair to F2P players who win 'big' or rare members items. Also, given that is possible to 'buy' xp with it, mabye you could put a limit on how many spins can be bought. (Maybe 100 a month or 25 a week or something)

I actually don't find anything wrong with the SoF. I've liked it since the beginning. (But it's probably since I'm a member) I notice that most on the forums will probably disagree with my opinion, but then again I see that people use forums most of the time when it comes to voicing negative opinions. The SoF has helped me gain more experience in other skills I find too grinding too level up in, and I think that's great (and it's not like it's an amount that is ridiculous). I see the SoF as laid-back pretty much in my opinion. (And yes I do know about the buyable spins and other stuff, but seriously, why should I whine about that? If people want to buy stuff with their own money, let them be.)
But for the F2P, yeah I don't think it's fair there are members items in SoF F2P. Make two separate wheels like rspartyroom said. That'd be nice!

The SOF is nothing but a way to prove to you that Jagex cares about absolutely none of our feedback. (Well, ass-kissing excluded). Personally, I like paying for a game that actually has some morals- telling your players that you'll never put micro-transactions into the game, not only breaking that promise but making the whole damn game revolve around it shows that there is something seriously wrong with their morals.

Well, well, well. Zesty conversation here. I applaud Jagex for trying new stuff and see that is is one place that invests a lot of time in tweeking the environment. They also allow a place for people to express their thoughts on the updates. Bravo again! As always there must be a "but" involved. I do agree with the removal of SoF as it appears to me a distractor of the immersion of the game. I would rather these exciting prizes have been rare drops or oddity drops from the mini-games or perhaps holiday event items.
