Lagex Hawking MORE Scooby snacks. think they're starting to feel the bite of the mass eject. Brought it on yourselves Lagex! You know how to fix it! Best listen to the TRUE majority of you're Customers....or have that "bankrupcy" paperwork filled out. I can see you're Dieing day by day, loseing more and more players, and more and more PAYERS! One way to pull it out of the nose dive. keep the toolbelts and coinpouches and loyalty shop; scrap the EoC,Yelps, and Solomons. it's sacra*ice*** fruitbearing for shapeing the tree. But not like I care, I quit active playing soon as EoC came online! GF LAGEX!!!

Randgris II, there is indeed a ******** of bots. 1/2 players wouldn't be very far off at all. Numbers after updates show pretty clearly the effects of the public botting clients downtime on the population. How many real people would think "oh they just updated the game, that's it for me I'll just read a book". None, they all log back on to continue what they're doing or to check out the new update. So the excuse that it is too soon after an update to tell doesn't make sense. Another thing to consider is that there will be more players logging in to test the new update which means the number of non botters would normally be even less than that. Also wouldn't be surprised if some of those numbers were botters who logged back in to check out the update. Finally we are just talking about the public botting clients that we hear about all the time. Believe it or not there are people in China and other places who bot runescape gold for a living and they would use private software that could work after an update or be updated almost immediately.

I'm well aware of bot programs. There is a down time between updates due to code changes and various other reasons. Even when that downtime happens, the population is steady. Why? Because now they have to manually perform the tasks until their programs are fixed.
That aside, it's absurd to say that bots kill Runescape. Most of them hold membership subscriptions because that is where the money is made. (A member vs a non-member profit gain is almost laughably dwarfed when compared.) As long as those bots have customers (chances are those are members as well) Runescape won't suddenly dip into single digit players without subscriptions. This game has a myriad of new players coming and going, just as any MMO does.
Nothing changes when a scant few disagree with an update besides massive butt hurt, crying, and rage quitting. What they neglect to acknowledge is that the World keeps turning without them and this game will too.

They're only doing these multiple promotions because players are mass quitting due to the end of combat and they are desperate.
ADMIT IT FAILGEX THE END OF COMBAT WAS A HUGE FAIL! I'M JUST GLAD THIS ACCOUNT IS A SKILLING ACCOUNT SO I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THIS CRAPPY FAILURE!
And yes I did try the end of combat. It sucks terribly. Abilities are overpowered, prayer is useless, the enhanced excalibur is equally useless as it has NO HEALING EFFECT WHATSOEVER. WENT THROUGH 2 SLAYER TASKS WITH IT DIDN'T HEAL ME ONCE. HELLHOUNDS ARE NOW HARDER THAN MUTATED JANDIKO MALES. DARK BEASTS HAVE THE WRONG WEAKNESS. EVERYWHERE IS MULTICOMBAT WAS THE DUMBEST PIECE OF CRAP ANYONE COULD COME UP WITH.
Please failgex. Admit your mistake. Admit that the majority of players don't want the end of combat. I can prove the majority of players don't want the end of combat because suddenly during and after that update you are doing multiple promotions in a cheap effort to keep members. HMMM GEE YOU WOULDN'T NEED TO DO THAT IF THE MAJORITY OF THE PLAYER BASE REALLY WANTED IT DUMB * * * * S.
ACCORDING TO RS WIKI
On the 1 September 2012, free to play players gathered at world 1 Falador, and pay to play players gather in world 2 Grand Exchange to protest the planned Evolution of Combat update and to request an old-school RuneScape server for Veterans. The Riot was planned, unlike many others, by a YouTube videomaker. In World 2 the Grand Exchange was temporarily muted and player could only use Quick Chat within the area for about an hour before normal chat was restored. To date, Jagex has never removed the ability to chat in game when confronted with a riot or interfered with any riot; something that makes this riot notable.
HMMM GEE THEY NEVER HAD TO REMOVE CHAT IN GAME BEFORE? SHOULD BE A GODDAMN CLUE THAT MAJORITY OF PLAYERS DIDN'T WANT THAT CRAP UPDATE!
