The players who are leaving in droves are not leaving because they don't like change. They are players who have been playing for years and have kept playing RuneScape because it was constantly changing. If they didn't continually add content and make updates players would have left long ago. It's just the EOC is so bad and so broken, and along with the massive amount of experience that has been handed to people or made available for purchase, some players just can't take it any more and want the old RuneScape back. The community has been gutted. There were reasons RuneScape was the most popular game at one time. It was simple enough that anyone could play it. The free version did not immediately make you feel like a second class citizen. There were continual changes that made the game more interesting and fun. Now all that is gone. Even if you are one of those who actually like the EOC, you have to realize it can never attract new players the way the old RuneScape did as it will only appeal to a small segment of the population. RuneScape has been losing players for a while, but not because it didn't have EOC, but because it was veering away from all the things that made it unique.

Why not give us a Double xp weekend if you going to give us a Aurora that gives us 50 percent xp boost ?. I mean is that not the same thing and the special weekends could be even more xp. I mean look the Aurora is doing what the double xp weekends did. And they said they would get rid of them.

Jagex, what ever happened to having updates that free to play people could play?
Arinae's new quest? a replacment for rune mysteries
Ozan's new quest? a replacment for Prince Ali's rescue.
All we get are replacments for quests we finished, that you then proceed to release member's only sequals to. So in other words: Try this, if you like it, buy a membership just to find out what happens next.
I joined this game a few years ago, not because of an add, because my friends RESPECTED you enough to refer me to this game
I began to RESPECT you enough to refer my friends as well
I bought a membership, not because of a reward like a mask, or an emote, or a loyalty program, i bought it out of RESPECT for you, Jagex
and now i find, all that RESPECT and all the f2p community recieves are replacment quests you have to be a member to find out what happens next in, and brand new adds to make us get membership.

What doesn't work is adds and nothing new but members content and more adds.
No. What works, is getting RESPECT from your free to play communites as well. To be completely honest, you havn't done much to earn the f2p community's respect lately.
Even people i know who are members are sure this game is going to go belly up if you don't get that RESPECT that you used to have back. Whats going to bring it back? Thats up to you to figure out, but its not going to be a member's only update, thats for sure. Maybe the members like that, but, if you plan to get new members, you might want to stop looking at people who have never played before, and start looking at the f2p community. The players do the recruiting new players part for you, if you earn their RESPECT.

Around 60-70k players on at a time.. Keep up with updates like this and you will surly see 30-40k on at a time.. You guys are killing this game.
I remember when I first started playing this game there was around 200k players even at one point in time it hit around 220k players on at a time. Miss those days..

its still too soon for a double drops weekend....prices havent even stabalize because of the eoc and people are loosing a lot of money daily. For example, nex items and spirit shield. now because way more of those items will come into the game the market going to drop even more.....
