Nice one Jagex! Its obvious that your relationship with your community is one of monetary purposes, so why do you continue with this hypocritical act of pretending to be doing this stuff to benefit Runescape players? Why are you constantly avoiding saying your real intentions, which are to squeeze every coin you can from players?
This beta testing isn't to give players access to give you feedback and debug, its about you excluding people that aren't consistent with their payments and providing rewards to those that are. Your big excuse of giving 50k other players access is purely to stop people venting their frustration at missing out. "Ooh Jagex slaps me in the face for paying membership for 10 years and missing a week last year; I'm really mad, but that's okay because they let 50k 'other' people in too."
What a way to spit in the face of these 'loyal' customers who have put up with your woeful excuses of 'improvements' to the game. Why don't you just come out and say that you are doing this because you want all your paying members to never miss a payment? God forbid you lose $1000 because people wait a week before resubscribing.
If this was actually about beta testing, you would be allowing it to the people that know how to play the game back to front. Instead, you're letting people that can afford a years consecutive membership, which are more than likely level 50's and skillers that have a total of 20 days game-play under their belts, test a major COMBAT update.
Why do you continue this mummer's farce when YOU ARE NOT FOOLING ANYBODY! Anyone with half a brain is smart enough (excluding 50% of Americans) to realize every single major update you do has an ulterior motive to increase company gain. I find it hugely offensive that you think you can fool us into believing you are a community friendly company that isn't doing these updates to make money. The only ones you fool are 12 year old kids! PEOPLE WOULD RATHER YOU CAME OUT AND SAID YOU WANT THEIR MONEY!!
