Hey jagex mods, if you see this can you pleeease answer because I'm not understanding the way you word this entirely. Is the combat beta just going to be a temporary thing for members after the release, or is it going to be permanent for all members after the official release?

Having to have membership for a full year prior to signing up for full access really sucks for us long time members that lost membership for a short amount of time recently. I have a friend that hasn't played runescape for well over 2 years and hasn't canceled his membership. He's had it for over a year, so he gets full access to a Beta in a game that he doesn't even play anymore, and I have to sit and wait twiddling my thumbs hoping to be in the 50k, even though I have almost 3000 hours of playtime. No good, Jagex.

Definitely pleased to hear this :) . Great to see Jagex appreciating the vets, especially in light of some of the recent causes for concern in that department.
While there's obviously some concerns with this from those who have let their membership lapse every now and then but have been around from a long time, I think the practice of selecting the most "active and committed" members for the 50K others granted full access, if done well, should make up for that. It sounds like a fair solution to me.

I hope that's how it turns out, Lord Red. I've just recently been less active in the game, after I lost my membership for a couple months. I just got a three month membership card, and I'm playing everyday again. So I really hope I'll be chosen due to my experience in the game.

i cant wait hope jagex can improve the death animation. i feel the one we have lacks spirit also can you guys make combat cool so there wont be a another roit. i dont want to hear wowscape or stuff like that really anoying "The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate. Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope. Yet, the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed.
