Wouldn't it make more sense to chose the people who have amassed the most hours of play time, rather than been a member for the past 12 months? That would people who actually care about the game, and have spent the longest one it, have a say rather than those who have only just joined?

you guys are just bending over and taking this update... you know in your hearts you dont want them to change runescape but you know you cant stop them so you pretend to like it, and it sickens me taxes for the church, taxes for the mayor taxes for the sherrif, taxes for the king... its a wonder there is anything left to eat,

Ah, I was about to start a bit of a disappointment post, but reading past the first page really does help. I must have skipped over the deal about the 50k other members who are going to get access. Just one of the problems when looking at the screen from far away.
Anyways, I'm very glad to hear that there's still a chance for me to have access to the Beta. My first membership lasted for about a year or two or so, but due to IRL problems, I had to cancel it. Last August I renewed it via card, and continue to do so, but I was a member a long time ago, and I was gonna be slightly disappointed that I'd be out of the Beta Testing pool solely because of when I was able to return to Membership.
But I'm not fully out of it. I still have a chance.
I plan to sign up for the Beta the earliest I can, and I hope that I will be one of the 50,000 who are chosen to assist in the Beta testing.

I will for sure be disappointed if I don't get into the beta. I have had my account for 10 years and recently had to get a new debit card. I forgot about switching it and it canceled my members. At the time I was playing another game so I didn't notice until a little later. I was part of the RS2 beta and would LOVE to be part of this beta as well. Guess we will wait and see... >.<
