Why do we rub our eyes when we are tired?
Tired eyes get dry, and rubbing stimulates the lacrimal glands to produce more fluid. Tiredness also closes your eyes, so you may rub to keep them open. Finally, there's a connection between the muscles that move your eyes around and your heart. When these muscles are stimulated, a reflex slows the heart.

The American economist and sociologist Thorstein Veblen coined the term in his book The Theory of the Leisure Class (1899). The concept of conspicuous consumption can be illustrated by considering the motivation to drive a luxury car rather than an economy car.

Where are bees not found?
They are found on every continent except Antarctica, in every habitat on the planet that contains insect-pollinated flowering plants. Bees are adapted for feeding on nectar and pollen, the former primarily as an energy source and the latter primarily for protein and other nutrients.

Do whales drink salt water?
DOLPHINS and other sea-dwelling mammals can obtain water from their food and by producing it internally from the metabolic breakdown of food. Although some marine mammals are known to drink seawater at least on occasion, it is not well established that they routinely do so.
