All toads are frogs, but not all frogs are toads.

The true toads are members of the family Bufonidae under the amphibian order Anura (frogs), though some other specific species of frogs -- not scientifically -- are widely considered toads. Among other distinctions, toads can easily be determined by their warty, dry, and thick skin compared to other frogs.
