With still so many questions racing throughout his mind, The Adventurer bid farewell to The Lady of the Lake. Before he could turn to leave Freya left The Adventurer a parting gift and some words of relief. "Though you may be scared now, there will come a time you will look back and be able to come to terms with your destiny and accept why you were chosen" "So fear not Brave warrior, for you are stronger than you seem and wiser than you know" Freya hands The Adventurer a talisman. "Now take this and keep it close." Upon receiving the talisman The Mark from the Bump monster began to subside...
"
It will not lift your Mark,
" Freya's voice whispered into his mind as she vanished, "
But it will allow you to focus on your quest to.
"
The abatement of the pain brought The Adventurer such relief that he nearly collapsed in place, but with a smile reflecting his high spirits, he instead consulted the world map he had purchased from a traveling merchant.
Perhaps a Zamorakian might know?
he thought.
They are experienced with curses... Yet there are few who might be willing.to help.
The answer then came to him with the abruptness of lightning. "I have heard it tell that a Monk of Zamorak resides in Varrock's castle," he mused to himself aloud. "I suppose it's worth the attempt." The lands between Asgarnia and Misthalin were safe for travelers equipped for combat, at least.
The Adventurer would have to be feign ignorance about the Guthixian druids, he knew, for the monk might otherwise be disinclined to help him.
If only I had not skipped my lodestone lessons,
he thought,
but it is a good day for walking.
After taking a long gulp from his waterskin, he set out at once, eagerness hastening his step.
