Love the poem Mistymoore, Love all the posts that I have read here, very interesting and very helpful, I hope to see more posts , they are fun to read, thank you. I have visited your clanchat as a guest a handful of times, I like the people in there and how nice everyone seems to be. I would like to see more chat in the cc but like many chats it can be very quiet.

You and Keylink Nicetobe and pop____ cant remember his full user name and smurf___ again cannot remember his full user name always were friendly when I came in to visit.

My real life situation is very busy so my time on rs is extremely limited, back in the day I was a member and played in the classic days. I left for many years. found this account and its pw so i log on once in a while.

Thanks for the fun reads on here. its much better than seeing *bump* all the time :)

Thank you for your hospitality Nook persons :)

And Mistymoore the name NussunDorma is Nessun Dorma which is an aria from Puccini's opera Turandot (I am glad you like my username :) )
Nessun Dorma means None Shall Sleep

a brief synopsis of the opera is.....

Nessun Dorma is an aria from the final act of Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot and one of the best-known tenor arias in all opera. It is sung by Calaf, il principe ignoto (the unknown prince), who falls in love at first sight with the beautiful but cold Princess Turandot. However, any man who wishes to wed Turandot must first answer her three riddles; if he fails, he will be beheaded. In the aria, Calaf expresses his triumphant assurance that he will win the princess.

In the act before this aria, Calaf has correctly answered the three riddles put to all of Princess Turandot's prospective suitors. Nonetheless, she recoils at the thought of marriage to him. Calaf offers her another chance by challenging her to guess his name by dawn. (As he kneels before her, the Nessun dorma theme makes a first appearance, to his words,Il mio nome non sai!
(you dont know my name)
If she does so, she can execute him; but if she does not, she must marry him. The cruel and emotionally cold princess then decrees that none of her subjects shall sleep that night until his name is discovered. If they fail, all will be killed.

As the final act opens, it is now night. Calaf is alone in the moonlit palace gardens. In the distance, he hears Turandot's heralds proclaiming her command. His aria begins with an echo of their cry and a reflection on Princess Turandot:

Seems like I am unable to send a link here but you can listen to Nessun Dorma on you tube. The live from Paris is a good one. Also you can type in an English translation to the aria to see what the words truly mean

I hope you like the aria as much as I do; Pavarotti was the best tenor opera singers of our times.

HIyas Nussum

wow thank you for that explanation I did listen to the music and the Paris live one, it was amazing ;) I have listened to Pavarotti b4 and I agree he was an amazing singer for sure. I've never seen the opera tho, I'm not a big fan of operas, I think mainly i just don't understand them that well. I have seen Les Misérables on stage and Cats and Phantom of the Opera all very awesome :)

I believe that you tube videos cannot be linked to the forums just in case there is an issue with security. anyway thank you again that was fun reading :)

Hope to see u soon :)

hiyas all

Here are some more pirate facts......

Pirates didn’t always bury their treasure.

Some pirates didn’t bury their treasure right away because they wanted their share of the loot beforehand. And a pirate’s treasure didn’t always include gold or silver; most of it was food, lumber, cloth, and animal hides.

Is pure water a conductor?

Pure water is not a good conductor of electricity. Ordinary distilled water in equilibrium with carbon dioxide of the air has a conductivity of about 10 x 10-6 W-1*m-1 (20 dS/m). Because the electrical current is transported by the ions in solution, the conductivity increases as the concentration of ions increases.

Nyuko long time no see welcome back.

More Pirate facts arrrrrrgh

There were women pirates, too. Being a pirate wasn’t just for men. Famous female pirates include Mary Read, Anne Bonny, Grace O’Malley, and Ching Shih.

Grog was the pirate’s drink. Grog—a mixture of rum, water, lemon juice, and sugar—was the drink of choice for pirates. (Hmmm, wonder if that’s where the idea for our rum punch came from?)
