RuneScape Community team are celebrating World Turtle Day, a day to acknowledge our reptilian buddies.

The purpose of World Turtle Day is to bring attention to and increase knowledge of and respect for turtles and tortoises and encourage human action to help them survive and thrive.

This week brings the Quick Chat system - an optional method for chatting to players in RuneScape.

You may activate the Quick Chat system by clicking on your name in the chat window or the speech bubble next to it. This brings up the Quick Chat menu, which replaces your chat window. You may revert to the normal chat system at any time by pressing 'Esc' or the 'X' in the top-left corner.

Pinball

The mysterious old man has built himself a strange device he calls a pinball table, although he has unusual ideas about what pinball actually is. It's one enormous table where trolls stand guard with clubs as the flippers! Naturally he's keen to whisk away players to get involved, this time to be used as the balls!

Grab The Evil Twin

Molly has always had difficulty with her twin sister, probably because her twin is an evil twin. Continuing in the amusement arcade theme from the pinball event, she's rigged up a giant claw to try and catch her sister and drop her in a cage, she just needs you to operate the controls.

Last night saw over 2000 simultaneous RuneScape players for the first time ever. Hurrah! To keep up with the increasing number of players I've just ordered yet another server to help keep the game running smoothly. I hope to have it within a few days.

Today's update adds the much requested sleeping bags to RuneScape! These allow you to quickly recover your fatigue without having to walk all the way to a bed. Now you can finally pull those all-nighter fishing sessions you've been dreaming of.

I have add a new button to the stats menu which shows you which of the 15 quests you have completed. I hope this proves useful to people who are trying to work out which ones they have missed, so they can complete them all!

As part of our promised commitment to stamping down and stopping cheats in RuneScape we have developed a new system to automatically detect people using macro/bot software to gain stats unfairly...

If you are one of the people who we stat-wiped then whining and making excuses to us won't help. Our new system is designed to have a 0% rate of false positives, and we KNOW you were cheating. The stat-wipe is irreversible, so if you want to get your stats back then the only way to do it is to start playing the game fairly, and EARN your way to greatness like everyone else has to.
