Welcome to Age of Ancients, a social citadel clan of World 69.
We are skill-based as well as friendly and helpful. We are currently recruiting.

Please take the time to read through this thread to understand our clan's history and activities, hopefully deciding to side with us.

History

We are the light-hearted descendant of an older, darker clan that fell into civil war in Summer of 2011. The events that followed the war gave us a new, warmer home.

We were established on the 16th of July 2011, and to this day continue to grow and adapt to the ever changing Runescape environment. Currently our Citadel is tier 7 (as of October 3rd, 2013), and together we hope to build something beautiful.

Ranks

With over 250 members and counting, we have a fairly effective method of sorting our ranks.

The clan has six lower ranks:
* Ancienter - 1 Bar/Recruit - Inactive/New
* Seer - 2 Bars/Corporal
* Scryer - 3 Bars/Sergeant
* Inquisitor - Bronze Star/Lieutenant
* Mentor - Silver Star/Captain
* Elite Clanmate - Gold Star/General

These ranks are allowed to participate in all events, citadel, and recruiting. They are given a voice, and are allowed to rank up by attending events, working at citadel, being active, recruiting others, and gaining experience for the clan.

The clan also has higher ranks, Admin+, which are given specific duties and are allowed to participate in the High Council of the clan which gives priority in making decisions for the clan and settling business within it. They also have access to the clan avatars.

Honorable mentions:
Zaku, the leader of the clan we were with originally. Without his influence, this clan may not have formed.
4saken Evil, the original retired leader of Zaku's old clan. He was the progenitor of everything we know today and a large magic proponent.

Citadel

The citadel resets at about 02:00 Mondays (Sunday for Americas) and everyone is recommended to participate in group work at the citadel. Capping is one of the most significant ways to increase rank, and it's free, fast experience. Ask us what to cap on if you're not sure how to navigate our upgrade tab. We're currently tier 7 and need people like you to join us and strive for beautiful decor.

We own three avatars, Dave, Davina, and Igor. As a skiller clan, we don't use them in combat very often, so most of our orts go towards the weekly buffs. If you want one of the Admin+ ranks to summon one for any purpose, ask and you will likely receive.

Skill Week Hall of Fame

Previously, we held a skilling week with a large cash prize for both combat and non-combat skills. Occasionally, we will promote a skilling week, but they are irregular nowadays.

Community and Events

Age of Ancients is the product of a split from a dark community. In addition to boosting your morale, chatting with us gives you a better understanding of what we're really about. We don't take bribes for ranks, and we don't openly give ranks away to anyone who happens to attend an event once a month. We are willing to help anyone out, but are very open dangling participles who will make you laugh and feel welcome. Our chat is probably the most appealing aspect of our clan, and we strive to make everyone feel welcome to say and do what they want. Even the most combat-oriented people out there will find a special place in our clan. Events will be held in the clan weekly, and the variety is chosen by the players on Facebook. In other words, you can put your two cents into our event-making decisions. From bosses to trouble brewing to running around in afros, it's all available.

Reporting members for minor offences (i.e. language) is against the rules. We're trying to unite our community, not destroy it.
