Explore other avenues for fun now and then. You don't need to stick to this one cashcow that has become drowned in microtransactions.

If you're still having fun, good for you.

If you're playing because you're vulnerable to addictions (dailies fuck off), time to consider how you spend your limited time.

I'm posting this because sometimes it takes some source of anger (forums closing) to realize the bigger picture. Maybe it resonates with one other guy or girl out there.

I mostly play RS nowadays because of the community. I have maxed the skills I wish to train, and there is little left for me to do. I'd love to play minigames again, but without single-player modes, this becomes futile.

However, now that Jagex are pushing us to third parties for out-of-game communities, I may find that I will no longer log into the game one day, simply because I won't need to. This one day may grow into a week, into a month, into a lifetime.

All good things come to an end I suppose. I'd like to think that this is simply a rough patch for Jagex, however, the signs are telling me that they will struggle to recover this time round.

tbh the main reason I haven't quit yet is that I still talk to some people in game. Sure, I haven't done all the quests or hit 200M xp on all my skills but what's the point of staying long enough to get stuff like comp if I don't have anyone to share my game experiences with?

They keep neglecting the areas of content I actually care about in favour of ones I don't. After killing the forums, how much longer will minigames be around for? Are they next on the list of good things left to fall apart from neglect that Jagex will just decide to remove pretending people didn't spend years asking for them to be restored and updated to the current game? If clans fall apart from recruitment difficulties, will they eventually be in danger of removal too? How to block a forum user
