Tron, I looked up macro on the wiki just to see what I was being accused of. I have no programs to manipulate my mouse. I have no programs to skill for me. I do the skilling, it's what I play Runescape for! I log directly into the Jagex Launcher, I don't go through anywhere else. Did not know that was possible actually. I do have the Alt 1 tool kit to help me with Treasure Trails puzzles. I wonder if that is what they object to.

Alt1 Toolkit is a 3rd party software program that will help you to play RuneScape where you have to do all the steps yourself.
If and when Alt1 Toolkit is breaking the Rules of RuneScape you will be banned for macroing.

Here's the catch ... you yourself have to watch closely where Alt1 Toolkit is breaking the rules and where not. If you can't tell or see the difference ... you basicly are screwed.

We nor Jagex/JMods have to prove if they are breaking the rules, players themselves need to manually check 3rd party software.

UNLESS ... there are exceptions ... use '
Jagex's Official Game Clients
' and Jagex/JMods will do those checks for you and give you a '
safe free program access
' for both versions of RuneScape.

There's also a '
checked 3rd party program
' on Jagex's OldSchool website which directs you to a version of runelite, offered as a safe to use 3rd party program. Be aware, stick to that version only without any 'add-ons/updates/upgrades' of a different kind or you will face another ban.

One thing that bugs me is they always default to pointing out how many cheaters and how much gold they take out of the game.

That gives me LESS confidence, because what is the source of all this cheating? Both versions of the game have bond systems.

I was wrongfully accused, and I laid out every possible thing I may have done. None of which involved the actual accusation. It didn't happen, it never would happen and it is completely against everything I stand for.

It feels like they are looking TOO hard and assuming the worst. On top of that it is hard to ignore the ongoing complaints on OSRS social media.

Honest players shouldn't be afraid of logging in every morning, they shouldn't have to think about their click patterns, and even wiggling the mouse to stay logged in is a little silly.

Roddy, I agree. I follow the rules. It is one of the things people hate about me. It is just part of my personality. I think now I need to ditch Alt 1 if there is a possibility of it breaking the rules. I just won't play Treasure Trails.

Apparently it is not Alt 1. I went to delete it and it seems I have not yet got 'round to downloading it since I started playing Runescape again, so I don't have it on either computer. *sigh* I just want to figure out how to play so I can stay out of trouble so I can relax while I play. I play to calm myself and if I'm constantly worried about the banhammer it defeats the purpose. Maybe I need to find a more reasonable game.

The only thing I can do say ...

I use a standard computer & hardware, hardware that came with the computer when I bought it in the shop, I have standard software and ... no 3rd party clients whatsoever as I do not trust any of it. Not even runelite regardless what Jagex/JMods do say.

I do play for relaxation and sometimes made such long days even RuneScape 'advising me to stop playing, taking a rest' because I was playing for so long.

My advise to anyone else is the same as I treat myself, staying away from everything that could jeopardize my accounts and keeping myself on track ... out of harm's way.
Jagex/JMods aren't jumping on my back no matter my gametime & forumtime.

I love the game for what it is and how it is made and the volumes of entertainment it gives me when I need it. It is a game I can't put away for long enough because that's when I am going to miss it much.

The problem with downloading 3rd party software is is that you need to check for not downloading any malicious software with your download as that is the worst of all.
Runelite had many dodgy downloads running throughout The Internet and there are many dodgy downloads to find that invade your systems with things you do not know its existence.

Cleaning a computer from illegal/hacking/hijacking software-intrusions can be a painstaking process and Windows is a horrible monster that hides a lot of issues.

I wish I could help you ...
