Tron, I evidently know more about being autistic than you do because I have been autistic for 58 years. We can tend to play longer and be more repetitve than NT players and that seems to be what Runescape is perceiving as a bot. This behavior on the part of Runescape will disproportionately target autistic players. They need more accurate bot detection.

Tenebri, I read and understand your statement. I can't have a great deal of sympathy for Jagex because they take in more money than other game companies and offer no noticeable support or service in return. They could have better bot detection but they are not willing to spend the money, so instead they are harassing innocent players. Their errors have a human toll.
thats fine, you dont have to
i was just giving information on false bans recently and the proper channel to go down to appeal it
Tron, what I am trying to convey to you is that there is no bot program in this equation. Jagex saw a human being playing the game and decided it was a bot. There were no hyper precise mechanisms, no automated software, just me bumbling around trying to improve my skills. That is what Jagex thinks is a bot. And THAT is the problem.

Tenebri I will have to disagree with you because I am just playing the game, following the rules, and that HAS triggered Jagex into thinking I am a bot. There is no third party software for them to find, yet they are convinced they have found some, so obviously their criteria are faulty.

Tron, to clarify, my position is NOT that humans of any description can mimic the behaviour of bot programs. My position is that Jagex is seeing human behaviour as bot-like and punishing it indiscriminately.
Also in the interest of full disclosure, being compared to a bot is a sore subject for me. Other players have accused me of being a bot before because I am very focused on my skilling and don't chat much. My behaviour is like that because of my autism and that is why I make that connection.

I also want everyone here to be aware that I am against botting and would like to see Jagex get some effective, accurate anti-botting programs in place.
Tenebri, that is comforting to know, I thought it was just me. I have been gaming 30 years now, I started when Runescape was new because my little boy wanted to play it and he was too young to have an account, so I played and he directed me. He is 27 now and playing OSRS.

If there is detected '3rd party software' it does mean that it can be software only but also software used to control your hardware.
Programmable mouse is prohibited, being an example.
Just 'bumbling around' that's what most players/noobs do in RuneScape/OldSchool RuneScape before they have figured it out in detail what to do and how effectively play RuneScape without getting too much damage.
Not talking is what I do most unless someone is asking something I can answer or have time to answer.
Being accused of botting, who cares, I have been accused of being a bot, and a lot more, here in The RuneScape Official Forums but I do not care. Jagex/JMods have the answers knowing what to do.
