One would hope that f2p can use regular essence for at least a little bit of training in the beginning, to wet their feet a bit....
I suppose it's possible, but I doubt it. Otherwise, the item list would have included rune essence along with pure essence.
Since only pure essence made the list, I expect Jagex either assumes F2P will continue to depend on members to sell them pure essence (probably at inflated prices, at least early on) or Jagex will simply lock free players out of crafting these new runes - although maybe we will be able to purchase them. Thus, we wouldn't need to buy pure essence, causing the price to drop.
Bunch of players at the beginning are going to craft themselves 10k+ or so, if profit on the runes is low, they will not be selling them, why? then people will be forced to pay more.
A lot of players abuse this supply and demand tactic on any update.
I predict the method used to craft necrotic runes will be more annoying and slower and not afk than crafting soul runes and thus the supply of necrotic runes in the market will remain small and the runes will be like 50k ea
I've been stockpiling various types of bones even before Necromancy was announced.
I also have a nice collection of skulls. I wondered if these would be used in Necromancy, but they were not on the list. Maybe the skulls will serve a purpose that we have yet to discover. They could be a ritual component, for example.
I've been putting out fire with gasoline!

abuse?
you mean use to advantage to make money. its clearly not against rules, and they are playing the game using economy to make money....
and you say its forcing people to pay more, its not forcing people to may more, its just getting people to pay the price for what they are at that precise moment, dude to there being very little supply....
there is no forcing there is no abuse in doing what you just said people will do....

'Abuse' is not tied to rule breaking, I buy onyx's for 750kea because of impatient players. I don't agree with it, horrible tactic, but i find it funny. Heck i don't even need these 200+ onyx's i have.
same goes when i put items for 1gp to sell and sold for 400k, when they are worth 8M lol. I lost money that time, but i still laughed.

Grand Exchange is awesome fun.
abuse is tied to being negative
unless you have another meaning for it... like other words you use.

I think it is negative that i paid 750001 for an onyx, when price listed 910k, someone sold me 30 2 days ago, would it have been positive on their view point? they listed the sale price tho, my offer was waiting.
nice flip, nicely done. but i dont know why you needed to bring that up considering what im saying.
all im saying using the word "abuse" makes it sounds negative. clearly you dont see it as a negative. so you just used the wrong word.
which is fine. it happens.
we are getting off topic as you are bringing up your onyx flips. ? so yeah
