I'd like to get into bossing, but I'm not at all convinced I'm up to it.

I went to go take on the Corporeal Beast with my Masterwork armor and Spear of Annihilation. Soon as I got hit for 6K+ in one hit I noped (read: teleported ) out of there and didn't go back.

I wouldn't base anything on Corp. It's somewhat easy, but also more difficult than it should be due to the restrictions. No familiar, spear only.

Otherwise if you have an abyssal scourge and dark ice sliver you are instantly ready to face many bosses.

That weapon combination claims to be cheaper than a spear on the GE (no guarantees) But it's much better.

Normal mode Arch-Glacor and Kerapac are pretty sweet for learning. Instances are free and the game just throws money at you for participating. Arch Glacor actually has free deaths in normal mode as well.

I got into bossing only because I saw some AFK guides on youtube for GWD2. I started going and realized that I could actually survive. My gear and tactics were the worst at the time, I am advancing. It takes a lot of time and practice but it's well worth it.

Even at that I know my limits, and just try to improve on the bosses I know well. If I had gone to Corp beast right away I probably would have given up too.

Another thing I like to do is slayer bossing. Some of the slayer task bonuses work against bosses. Like the Nodon Dragonkin slayer task will make Kerapac cry. When I get a dragon task I go to ED2 which is mostly dragons.
