You're unlikely to get a JMod response here, what's the problem?
Why would talking about the rules be against the rules?
Who's the cat that won't cop out when there's danger all about?

The only reason I can see it being an "issue", is if there seems to be an "issue" with "discussing" issues that that some of the existing rules present.. or simply put, "we don't like you talking about the existing problems, because we said so."

One cannot begin to have "change" if you are not even 'allowed' to have a discussion about the problems that some of said rules may present.

But I do not see it being a "reportable offense". So I cannot understand why that the person who reviewed the "offence", was not able to make such a distinction.....

Saying I am "disappointed and upset" is beyond an understatement.

Are you talking about something on the forums or in game?
It's really unclear what you're referring to.

Discussing the rules isn't against the rules.

in game.

I am being slightly vague on purpose due to the fact I do not want another black mark on my account for simply Discussing the problems of the rules.

If what you say is true, then the black mark offense should be re-looked into, and removed off of my account since I already suffered the punishment of it already, and since it isn't against the rules. I do not see why I should have such a tarnish on my account.

Yes, Hence this comment.

"But I do not see it being a "reportable offense". So I cannot understand why that the person who reviewed the "offence", was not able to make such a distinction....."

The rules are pretty simple, most folks wouldn't break them anyways. Somehow that doesn't stop it from being a problem.

Does it say what offense was committed, like was it 'encouraging rulebreaking?'

That could be open to interpretation, and taken out of context. So the specific wording of what was said could be the issue.

Another concern is why you got reported? Was it an open discussion, could someone have come in at a bad time and thought it was something else?

None of these questions need answered, but I assume that information is in the mute message.

One thing is for sure, I am way more careful when I type anything in the game chat these days, even when I am alone in an instance. In large groups of players it seems like a bad idea to say anything more than a couple words at a time.

no it was not encouraging rule breaking.

it was in open discussion, and yes someone made it seem like it was something it was not, they even went out of their way to LIE to their clan chat about it, and get them involved to report me.

I am beyond baffled that Jagex cannot tell the difference between this though. This should NOT be reportable nor on my acc.

No where in the rules does it state you cannot have a discussion about the rules. No it was not about encouraging rule breaking either.

I'm not suggesting you had done anything wrong, just speculating on what might have happened.

Here's the thing, up above Rooh offered assistance but you declared that you didn't want to provide more information.

Rooh is acting as an authority figure, specifically in this thread. If you don't feel that the topic was worthy of punishment, you should have no problem sharing that with a moderator's inquiry.

Maybe they could understand better just knowing the topic or specific rule you were discussing. There is not much to say about a general statement of discussing the rules, other than players do it frequently.
