Hi,

After reading through this forum, I think this is the place to post this thread.

I've had a false macro ban on my UIM account Exploro2.

It is 100% false, as I've never cheated in over 20 years playing this game.

Which means there is a flaw in the system. Either detecting, and/or the review process.

I have also searched the forums on this issue and have noticed a same trend seems to be happening to others.

Now we see loads of bots in this game, you only have to go to a mining spot in f2p and it's not hard to spot the bot!

But a high level UIM account? Which has concentrated mainly on Slayer tasks of late? I've never in 20 years playing seen a bot doing high level monsters and Slayer as a UIM, then using the drops, re-charging prayer in POH, getting and cooking the food required, opening Konar's chest, using the reward etc before returning back to the task. No banking on a Uim, so we have to use as we get basically.

So anyone checking the game play after a bot detection goes off, must surely ask the questions, where was the bot used, for what purpose etc?

Long term players, that have never cheated and spent huge time building accounts shouldn't be experiencing such flaws in the system.

I would like to see a better review process of what may be an account suspect of botting.

there are many reasons why people bot. lots and for alot of individuals it will always be different.

either way jagex dont need to ask that, because thats not the deciding factor.

Well whatever the deciding factor is - it's flawed. My case in point!

well yeah nothing is perfect.

either way the link i posted above you can appeal your ban there if not already, if you have and was denied then someone has looked into your account manually and seen activity that warrants a ban.

I have appealed and it was denied. Hence the review process is flawed.

The account is perm banned and I have never broken a rule. Never even used Runelite or any third party client, let alone a bot.

They say the rant threads can help improve the game.

Well I really hope they are looking at their macro system. Because it is a bad business model banning huge accounts, where members have spent huge time building. When they haven't broke a rule!

I know nothing is perfect - but surely appeals should warrant better scrutiny of the said accounts before they pull the plug and shut down any further voice - forever!

And time spent does matter. As it should be quite apparent after years of playing the game the IP address used, the time spent playing, log on times. A profile can be built over those years. It should be beyond doubt that I haven't cheated - but like I say, there is flaw in it's system. And I hope it doesn't happen to others.

This Forum is for getting assistance with account related issues.

As explained on your previous thread, the Forums may not be used to appeal or protest account bans.

As stated on the Appeal an offence page in the Support Centre:
"Offences can be appealed once, if your appeal is denied the decision is final."

For additional information see the Macroing & RWT bans [Info] sticky .

As frustrating as you find this matter, using the forums as a means of appealing the ban is not welcome. For this reason, this thread is now closed.

For further information, I recommend that you read the Appeal an offence page of the Support Centre. As macroing bans fall under the Unappealable offences category, there is nothing further that can be done.

I've locked this as again you are trying to protest a ban issued to an account you own. This can't be done via the Forums.

Seeing as the appeal was refused nothing further can be done hence the 3rd thread locked.
