Sadly, for a thread like that to work, it would need to be autohide so there's anonymity - otherwise it could make for some nasty forum drama - and unfortunately we can't view autohide thread posts as LMods. However it's definitely something we've thought about in the past.

This, of course, would have to be approved by Jagex though, and I'm not sure what their stance on us being arbiters of trade prices would be. Community Manager for Jagex

Well, to be honest, if they were willing to allow you to see reports on Forum Moderators, which are automatically hidden, I do not see why they wouldn't allow you to be arbiters of trade prices, if this were something to come to fruition.

I'm intrigued to how they're going to go about fixing price checking threads as Tuffty has mentioned.

If Jagex wants to neglect the forums due to manpower I can only see them having a blanket ban on all items over max cash. Anyone looking for prices would need to use suitybot on discord. Suitybot isn't perfect, but at least they have some moderation in place.

The trolls have too much power and you'd think as a community we would be able to combat them.

Seems a fairly pointless idea. Who's to moderate what's true and what isn't? You would have to hire a staff member specifically to look up players G.E/trades to confirm what's true and what isn't.

Anybody with the slightest knowledge of how trading works, knows an item is worth whatever someone is willing to pay. Simply because you don't think it's reasonable, don't react to it. If you don't agree, post your disagreement and why and leave it at that. Adult conversations would solve a lot of drama and childish arguments on the forums.

If additional verification is necessary, it inherently needs to be someone with access to logs!
