At the moment, the BBCode only supports quick find code links. So unfortunately, regular players can't link to any content outside the forums.

I am guessing that you saw a player linking to a thread, but setting the text of the link as "Submit a bug report". For example: Submit a bug report . Even though the text says 'Submit a bug report', it just links to this thread.

Alternatively, could it have been a JMod post? JMods can still link everywhere as they have unrestricted use of HTML.

I just figured out that if you don't like this forum's smiley faces, you can use text smiley faces instead:

Just write them out like this:
:[b][/b])
