Forum mods to rule this place with an iron fist? Do the mods not see how much it deters people from posting here? Reddit & Twitter has 100x worse things posted where Jagex will actually interact with the poster. But on the forums you can't say anything outside of a PG rating or else it gets hidden.
What's the deal?
The 'iron fist' ... I did/do understand why that was the case back in the day, as back in the day Jagex/JMods used to be publicly (RuneScape Community) more in the field of innovation thus deleting everything/anything that wasn't their field of interest or being an attack from competitive companies/brands.
For players it seemed alike Jagex/JMods having an extreme grip on the community but it was done with another purpose hence JMods in person doing a lot for The RuneScape Community to take away that negative, really necessary, intervention.

Tuffty covered this perfectly. Bans for google, links, absolutely no swear words, etc. Only rules now are pretty much don't comment hate speech, flame, spam, or pull a thread too far off-topic. I'd argue Facebook is more strict in some areas.

To grow up and act like an adult setting up a good example for others to follow.
This is a kids game. Kids don't act like adults.
the large majority of runescape community are older than 20. back in 2004 the large majority were kids. but we have grown up since then and are now adults

Why do you think the large majority aren't still kids? It is not like the only players of the game are the ones who started playing 15-20 years ago. New players start the game every day, and they are mostly kids.
This IS a kids game, so expect people to act like kids.

Over the years of experience with '
RuneScape
' I can describe this game best as '
Friends & Family Game -> FFG
'.
That's the new category where '
RuneScape
' definitely does belong to, '
Friends & Family Game
'.
Of course it will be a bit messy MMORP & FFG, nevertheless it is what it is.

.
you removed the rest of my quote that goes into this further
this isnt a kids game anymore. its a pegi 16 game
i also quoted a survey that shows the ages players.
and hell even if this was a "kids game" it doesnt mean we can act like kids.
so far 3 people have given you evidence that this isnt a kids game. (as it is the community that creates that)
but by all means show us how its a kids game today. then we may take you seriously
