Only 10 more posts left here (well 9 now!) until this thread is maxed. It seems fitting to mark that timing with the passing of the forums. Mod Chrisso the OP here was one of our J Mod forum champions back in the day, and this thread attests to that. He also was the only Jmod to listen to and respond to what was being said by the Rants community, and he gained their respect because of that.
I'll wave one last farewell to any who know me from those old days and from my previous interactions here on this thread, in the 'Website and Forums' forum, and the forums in general. The forums may be going, but the memories of those times will remain. Good times! :) Good bye forums. We will remember you with fondness! :(

Ever since I've stopped being a "
Community Helper
" on these forums, I've watched to the activity slowly die down (even more than it did) over the years. I kind-of knew Jagex would retire the the Forums one day but never would have guess it would be this year. I wonder how this will effect the community support for players? Especially the Linux community since they're a small group as is. I'm assuming "Discord" would be to go-to answer for now on then?

I wish I could go back in-time and re-live some of my good past memories - Mod Chrisso still being employed at Jagex would be one of them. Farewell to all contributors of these Forums and best wishes to you all.

As a parting gift, I've made pancakes for this thread, courtesy of Pancake House .

In 2013, 27,000 posts were posted every 24 hours. Whilst times have changed, that's such an impressive stat.

Thank you for your own contributions to the forums and kind words too; like so many others, I haven't been as active on the forums as I have in previous years and so perhaps need to recognise that I share some of the responsibility of their sad demise. It feels sad to say goodbye to them after all these years. And yes, I'm sure our paths will cross again in some other arena. :)
