shame there isn't a "lock my own thread" feature (having to rely on fmods to do it .... )

It's a shame we can have more control of our threads - I'm sure threads would run more smoothly if we did.

Hello , i have a question.

Over the past 2 years i've been hacked twice by the same guy , i remembered the e-mail adress the new password was going to be sent to. I wanted direct contact to a mod or something to tell me what to do. I left on vacation for 1 week and come back hacked and bank cleaned.
My clan mates are telling me it's not worth to play on the account anymore because it will happen again. I'm really not looking forward to make a entire new account so my question now is : How do these people keep hacking me ? And is how can be assured my account won't be hacked again? Because at this point i just want to quit the game because this is just a joke.

If you create a new account, there's the likelihood that that too will be compromised.

Your repeated hijackings suggest a few things:

1) Your email is insecure,
2) your computer is infected with a trojan,
3) somebody knows your login details.

To this end, it would be helpful to know what security you have in place on your account. Did you have authenticator set up? If so, was it deactivated when your account was hijacked? Similarly, did you use a bank pin? Was it removed as part of the hijack?

To have a secure account, you must have 2-step authentication on your email address, a bank pin, the RuneScape authenticator, and a unique password. You should also run regular anti-virus and anti-malware scans. With those in place, you can enjoy a secure account, providing you don't do anything to compromise it.

Follow the steps here: Securing Your Computer and Account.
