Jagex/JMods do gather feedback of all walks of life within The RuneScape Community and do that in a way most players do not see/fail to see.
Jagex/JMods never have been putting players on a pedestal purposely as that might have a negative effect as well thus damage said person.
Jagex/JMods always are on the look-out for ideas/feedback that does enclose the entire RuneScape Community rather than specific player groups. Even parts of ideas are used to put together a new idea where Jagex/JMods are happy to fill in the blanks making it a whole for everybody to enjoy.

I don't get those emails, and if I did I'm sure they would be delivered late.

I saw on Reddit the in-game notification has to be set by Friday the previous week. They forgot or weren't sure the stream would arrive on schedule. Something like that.

I did get the monthly email though and it had some information I personally find useful. Stats from Fort Forinthry release. Over 30k players got a 100% perfect build.

The most popular church color is purple. Because of course it is.

Most popular trees were the snowy version. Once again, correct answer.

I'm glad they shared that information because it shows me the players got it right. If anyone has something other than purple, then it is for lore purposes. 100%. :P

Third Party feedback methods are inherently flawed since they rely on players frequenting and having accounts for social media sites outside of the game in order to engage with them. They can be a tool to sample feelings on specific parts of the community but aren't representative of the players as a whole. Better to improve and develop methods of informing players and gathering feedback through the official site where all you need is your actual game account.

For the forums, QoL improvements to make them more appealing to use would help. I think occasional pinned threads by the mods could also help to collect feedback. They definitely need to include it when listing off their social media to collect player feedback on things. Better means of tracking threads players want to pay attention to would also be good. Since some older threads can be useful references, maybe some means of looking at archived threads.

I think they should make some kind of Q&A system where players can easily check info on specific topics like upcoming game updates and Jagex's answers to common questions. It could help give players an idea of what's been addressed to cut down on confusion about what's going on catching up on things happening on stuff like streams individual players missed. Stuff like that can be updated if additional questions and concerns come up and it can also be a way of giving an easy reference of what they're aware of and are either working on or can't/wont with the reason why. It's very important to be detailed about this because vague answers will be picked part if they seem contradictory or uninformative of what they're supposed to be answering.

Collecting questions and concerns can be done by reviewing multiple sources like the stream comments, forum threads, reddit etc. Aggregating it into a unified resource would make it easier to circulate this information to ll platforms with it also being available on the site for easy and consistent reference.

It seems obvious from reading that, a FAQ- Frequently Asked Questions list would be useful.

Why didn't anyone say that before? lol

It would instantly reduce the number of repeated questions that seem to annoy the mods. If players are bugging them about something, why not just toss it in a FAQ? Shine it up real nice, and point to it often. It's way better than a shelf.

As a bonus, anyone could refer to that FAQ and actually see the answers that were already provided somewhere online.

As a double bonus, it would confirm that certain feedback had been received, and for a triple whammy, it would be a solid reference for discussions, ideas and solutions.

They couldn't just call it a FAQ though. More like Frequently Missed Answers.

Since I mentioned Reddit earlier I gotta give them credit. Jagex asked for feedback on the combat adjustments and they delivered. Personally, I didn't understand a word, but I'm sure we have been well represented in that regard.

I filled out the hitlist survey after several reminders. My first attempt I went blank. I was under the hot lights, trying to figure out anything that is actually a bug. It's the whole out of sight, out of mind thing. That's why I run to the forum every single time they annoy me.

Since they wanted 5 bugs, it might have been helpful to remind us of like 1,000 of them so we could choose. Is there a master list, and if they are already known, why are players being asked to vote on them? lol
