Make sure the map is:

-This is optional, but since RS is a non-stop updating game, it would be nice if every time the world surface is updated, the download of the map could be updated as well, OR there could be a newer version, therefore saving the previous versions as well, it is your choice.

I am sorry for such a late reply - please see my post above for the reason why (settling into university!)
I have always used maps with icons and being the awful excuse for a tech person, jsut used ones with icons, but when drawing maps on or creating guides it can get rather cluttersome and a nice clear map could be useful for many different things! I can actually see this being really quite useful, though potentially time consuming for Jagex. It looks like Mod Michelle is positive about this suggestions too ( post here ) so it shall be added soon!
