However, what seems to be a common thread amongst the things you have talked about is the quality of the communication from Jagex.
As you say, we have been told about the removal of the forums during what should have been a celebration. We were told about it on a Friday afternoon, a time right before Jagex staff clock out for the week. And we were told about it in a matter of fact way that this is happening and there is nothing you can do about it.
It appears the reason is that they don't want to write code for a new forum on the new language the website will be based on. This would seem a very reasonable reason to me.
What I don't understand is why they didn't say that in the newsfeed. It would help us understand Jagex's motives at the very least, and would very much help us come to terms with what they are doing.
The way they have announced it makes it look like they haven't considered other options, such as leaving the forums as they are (and have done for the past 5 years) as this would take no Jagex involvement. I have to assume that this
has
been considered in order to move on. Otherwise, if it is an option, I'll be messaging Jmods every day on every other social media site until the forums are reinstated.
