Same. I can't imagine why being able to post links to youtube videos would result in an idea that suggests they be embedded instead of having to click on the link/copy paste it being any more of a priority than it was prior to the rule change.

With the new rules and the subsequent allowing Youtube links to be posted, surely this embed suggestion can now be given priority?
I'm not sure how a rule change would encourage this to be a higher priority.
I think the main idea was that due to less strict rules, there would be slightly less worry over the content displayed within the videos so long as it is not obscene. Before, an argument could be made that the content was inappropriate if, for example, there was swearing within the video, even if it was a popular song or clip from a movie/TV show, etc.

It's however not something we're working on right now although still very much aware of how much you guys want it
Pretty much how Hyles and Wilf put it. The way it stands now you copy and paste the url and don't know what's waiting on the other side of the link. With an embed we could atleast see the title and a thumbnail so we know what we're clicking on. Plus, it's easier. I said priority because in light of the new rules I don't see any large future updates/changes for the forums so this could be the next thing to work on.

To be honest, I would prefer link verification system be given priority over this update. Security first, QoL second.
