There's still some good use for the forums for recruitment and trading purposes. Other than that - they could significantly downsize most of the forums due to inactivity.

I wanted to post here one last time. I am very disappointed in the decision to do away with the forums. I and many of my friends do not use Discord, tweet or reddit. We come here to find answers when we have issues so I guess you are telling us too bad, so sad for your luck. While we may not always post it's because we found the answer to our issue and didn't think we should create another thread. I have used the forums in the past to help with payment issues, game issues, etc. guess I will be screwed now. Have also looked for help on quests, but you already took that away. Have also looked for help with login issues, sometimes found that there was an issue with an update, so I didn't have to worry. Now I won't have access to any of that. May be the end of me playing. Really think this is the wrong decision, while you do have too many forum choices, you could have gotten rid of some without taking it all down. Will miss the forums and when I cannot find an answer to my next problem will have to find some other game perhaps

That struck my heart, that in a day or so, most of us will make our final post, by force...

I'm very much the same, i dislike the environment of Reddit, nor am i fond of Discord as a place for earnest, branched out discussions...i honestly thought the forums would last as long as the game itself, i guess not :(

I do get a great sense of schadenfreude in the green crowns getting forced into retirement. I've been a strong advocate against Jagex's implementation of player and forum moderators for over 15 years now. Any time modding tools were gutted or the prestige of the positions were tarnished it made me very happy. It was a great day when in-game mods had their 24-hour mutes gutted to 1-hour.

To see an entire branch of the mod team shut down (green crowns) is the best moderator news I've read in years. It's at least a silver lining to the forums closing down.

I will miss a lot of the discussion and debate I've had on here over the years, but it's not like the green crowns didn't remove tons of what we posted and help kill the forums.

I have truly enjoyed reading your responses—they are articulate, to the point, and entertaining. If I'm not mistaken, I understand that you work as a translator/interpreter and speak various languages, and that alone is impressive.

Gwtwpups, I use the forums in exactly the same way. I'm really going to miss them and, like you, if I have a problem that I can't resolve I may have to stop playing.

Its such a sad day....Goodbye forums and posters. :(

Appreciate everything you've done over the years, and all of your contributions. As a new F-Mod, I always looked up to you. I have a great amount of respect for you and appreciate how you've always articulated your ideas (blunt, and direct). You've had a tremendous impact on the community as a forum user, and during your lengthy tenure as an F-Mod.
