Without knowing your browser or the specific sites concerned, it's difficult to be certain, but I THINK what you are seeing is just your browser loading embedded elements from the RuneScape website.

These may, for example, include widgets providing functionality from Facebook, Reddit, Google and so on. Perfectly normal, and nothing to worry about.

BUT... if you do still worry about it (and when it comes to the Internet, there's nothing wrong with a dose of healthy paranoia) you can probably block or disable them using browser extensions. NoScript (for Firefox, Seamonkey and other mozilla-based browsers) is a good example of the kind of thing that can help you to do this.

It'd be ideal if you were able to share a screenshot with us so that we are able to better access your concern. As of right now, it's all but a guessing game. If you wish to try to share a screenshot of whatever you are seeing/experiencing, here are the instructions to do so: How to, Upload an Image .

We will then have the ability to properly provide you with something to work with.
