I feel like as I've grown up with Pokemon, I'm more focussed on the gameplay, the region, scenery, etc, and the region looks absolutely amazing from first glance (who doesn't love a good tropical setting?)

So, it may sound weird, but I'm as excited to explore the plotline/region as I am about new Pokemon in it. Although, the legendaries look so sick.

As water is my favourite type, I'm naturally Team Popplio.

The Sun/Moon Legendary is probably Solgaleo and Lunaala (Lunarlaa?) from trademark leaks. Marshadow may possibly be a Dark/Fairy type akin to Slupluff, because really, Fairies either equates to Yokai (Mawile, Klefki), Adorable (Marill, Dendenne) or actual Fae-like creatures like Gardevoir's line. Slurpluff/Spritzee's fairy typing could just be "if it tastes/smells nice, make them fairies"

Alternatively, Marshadow is supposed to be Mars+Shadow since Mars after Earth and would technically be a "shadow" behind Mars.

So what pokemon would you want in the game? personally would want a Takarazuka performer (Kirlia female split evo, Dawn stone) and maybe a mechanical Steel/Psychic type Ornery/Gnomon. just seems like mechanical pokemon are either animate metal like Magearna, or they're "unexplained" in origin but just happens to carry the steel typing like Magnemite...heck, or just animate objects like Klefki and indirectly Brozong/Bronzor and Golett's line.

small bit of headcanon, Litten's japanese name Nyabby is either a cross between Nya (meow) and Tabby, or possibly Hanabi (fireworks), it's forehead makes the occult symbol for Sulfur with the eyes for the loops. if it's supposed to be a tiger kitten rather than a tabby, would be weird for it to be Poison/Fire since tigers are generally considered as an electrical-themed creature.

the fireworks thing has some merit since in art, it shows all 3 starters displaying unique abilities, possibly as attacks. Rowlet is throwing leaf-quills, Popplio has some degree of Hydrokinesis (or it's snot?) and Litten is coughing out a distinctly burning (possibly exploding) hairball.

EDIT!!: Seems like a given that it might do a 1>2>3 type name, Nyabby, Hanyabby, Dainyabii. (Dynamite (english) Dai = large/similar to hi = fire. and Tabby. Noticable in the move animation for Fire Blast) the Nya could just be a pun if used right though.

I like the idea of all the starters having some kind of unique attacking trait; I've always been a fan of signature moves, and it mixes it up from ember/vine whip/bubble (or absorb/water gun, depending on the generation).

I can't wait for these games, but I hate how Europe gets them later. Not specifically because we get to play them later, other playing them has no bearing on me so it doesn't bother me. BUT, it makes videos of the games almost irresistible to watch, and I know I'll end up watching them and spoiling it for myself!
