Absolutely right about Cam though. He's grown on me through his maturity. I've been a Panther fan for 10+ years now and when he
first
came on our team and started throwing temper tantrums and bad plays with his already bad reputation... I was skeptical and upset. He looked far from a leader.
Now he handles situations much better and he acts like a leader, and he's treated like one. He's got the team's respect and the fan's. He's making much better decisions in-game than he did in the past.
Long story short, I'm very happy to be a Panther fan

I saw that play!! I was watching the game, WIlson was on fire and OMG that touchdown pass right after that??
So beautiful...
edit: Maybe you know because I'm not a fan, but what's with Seattle's O-line collapsing right after the snap like every other play? Has there been injury problems or something else and they're on mostly back-ups?

Essentially the team has made a decision with what to do with their salary cap. They pay an in-ordinary amount of money to the defense, and for good reason, it shows. However in doing so, other players can't be paid. This is why you see they've had rather poor wide receivers over the past few years, and now that Wilson has been paid, its sucking money from the O-line as well. So we're left with late round draft picks and converted defensive lineman attempting to learn a new position. Theres a steep learning curve and its working out extremely poorly. Just something we're going to have to deal with until something more consistent can be figured out
.
Heres a nerdy article explaining what the Seattle offensive line coach is looking for in an offensive lineman. Essentially he believes the raw measureables are very important, and that he can teach the technique required to be an effective lineman. It also states that finding players with similar skill sets is desirable due to when one man gets injured, his replacement is the same type of player with the same set of strengths and weaknesses.
Heres a 30 minute interview with a sports scientist, explaining what SPARQ scores are, and how they can be effectively applied in every sport with a high correlation of success. Its something the NFL hasn't done much of, and the Seahawks are one of the first teams (along with the Eagles it seems) that are trying to apply some of these findings to to building NFL rosters.
So essentially, the Seahawks are experimenting with something completely new to the NFL in terms of a sports science point of view, and trying to figure out how to properly apply the data they find.
Looks like I won this week in this league because of that stupid pass play on 3rd and 2 at the end of the game. Those yards to Kearse generated two points for Russell Wilson, and thus got me from 1 point down to 1 point ahead. Awesome

Alternatively I lost in this league by about 6 inches when Calvin Johnson fumbled at the goalline instead of scoring. Rip

Haha nice, and interesting approach regarding raw strength and athleticism. It's only, what? 4 games in now, so I'm willing to give his O-line the benefit of the doubt. They can't keep crumbling under pressure when the play-off's come around though. D-line's will eat them for lunch and the rest of the defense will clean the plate xD
Eventually we need to see just plain better blocking from them, I watched the game earlier and it wasn't pretty. It's the opposite of Brady's o-line, where he has time to day-dream before throwing l0l

Yeah it was certainly an issue the entire off-season, and into the pre-season, and now 4 games into the regular season its clearly not any better.
Russell is at fault a bit here too. Sometimes he trusts his legs a bit too much instead of trying to fit a pass into a tight window. He'll try to roll out and end up running into a defensive lineman and essentially run himself into sacks, instead of standing in there and throwing a strike.
At any rate, the experience can only help, and as they play more I expect them to grow, hopefully it gels before next season xD.
