Since there is the possibility of a chinese company taking over our beloved RuneScape, I feel this would be a good time to inform & entertain everyone with how things are going in China overall.

)
Hong Kong book sellers kidnapped by the state for selling "propaganda" books?

The channel I presented to you all is informative, educational and entertaining.
I am in no way trying to undermine the chinese people or their govermnet. Please don't arrest me.

why dont we learn about the chinese nerd culture? because thats actually relevant to whats going to happen, none of this bullshit you talk about matters
China just operates on a completely different
scale
to the rest of the world.
China traces its history as a single country back to the Yellow Emperor, four and a half thousand years ago. That's 4,500 years. Chinese leaders tend to think in far longer time scales as a result of having that kind of perspective.
In 2010 there were EIGHTEEN Chinese cities with populations of over 5m, i.e. larger than London. And I bet you can't name more than half a dozen. Oh and that's built up areas. If you count administrative areas, there are more than SEVENTY.
Natural disasters in Europe or America affect a few hundred people. In China they affect tens of thousands - and the government response is usually fast and efficient.
In the Spring Festival travel season, Chunyun, almost 3 billion passenger journeys are made - over 600 million of them by train.
Talking of trains, there are 12,000 miles (19,000 km) of high speed railways across the country. For comparison, the United States has about one high speed line, from Boston to New York.
And lastly, the work ethic in China is different. My wife's in import, and buys a lot of goods from Chinese suppliers - who she finds generally work far longer hours with far fewer holidays than their counterparts in other countries.
It's easy to be dismissive or bigoted about China, especially if you just rely on the new headlines. The truth is rather different and far more complex.
