Classic piece of official state propaganda, but rather fun anyway :)

I wouldn't say they're broken, the melee units of that era can wreck the cho's since they have range unit defence. Of course, against the AI who may not abuse that fact fully, they are still incredibly good.

Yeah I was mainly focusing on a singleplayer deity scenario, which would be the most common in my experience.

If you want to LEARN ABOUT CHINA:
Starting with logistics doesn't "just" mean an extra attack per turn. It means double combat experience, and double Great General points. You're not gonna run out of things to shoot at on deity. Add that on top of their Unique Ability and an extra couple upgraded archers from the ancient era (thanks to the papermaker), and you're gonna be shitting out great generals through the entire game. (Range promotion should ensure they stay relevant, even as gatling guns/bazookas.)

They might not be as strong as Arabia's Camel Archers, but they're very versatile and don't go obsolete.

@Alexandru

Firstly, I never called you a bigot - but let's be honest, a lot of people out there are bigoted, as we sometimes see on the forums.

You can try and trivialise China as much as you like, turn it into handy soundbites if you want, but it's an incredibly old, highly complex civilisation that deserves more attention than that.

The Chinese government sucks, no argument about that - but again, only seeing that misses a lot about the country.

So... do you really want to talk about China, or do you just want to peddle your particular political views?

Could you post more on cultural differences if you know anymore? I'm interested.

Well... here's one I came across in Singapore - traditionally (and this may be changing) the most appropriate colour for a wedding dress in China is red, not white.

Red flowers are good to take if you're visiting someone's house, but not white - as white ones are reserved mainly for funerals.

Red envelopes are containing money are often given as gifts at social or family occasions, like weddings, or Lunar New Year.

In other words... red is a 'lucky' or 'auspicious' colour - which adds a whole new dimension to the Chinese flag!
