Why are Americans so picky? It seems whenever I see tourists they always ask for certain ingredients to be removed. Namely tomatos and onions. If so many people hate tomato and onions, why do American restraunts cook using them instead of adding them if requested? It seems it would be annoying to have every person ask for no tomato/onions.
I've noticed people from "the South" or the midwest seem to be far less picky. It's mostly Californians and East Coast people.
Well I'm from the south but I can't account for everyone but in my family and quite a few family's I know. Especially when you're with your grandparents or elders If you don't like what is for dinner you can just not have dinner and can go hungry. So from my personal experience you learn not to be picky pretty early in life.
