GoT is one of those shows where you gotta watch through everything pretty consistantly to completely graps all the different story lines, if I try to watch a new episode every week plus like a 8 month or so break inbetween season I just get bored of it. Trying to figure out who someone is talking about and what they're doing is just too boring. If i bing watch it then I do enjoy it thoroughly.
