Live action anime movies usually tend to be garbage because there aren't huge Hollywood companies funding them.
The Attack on Titan movies (there will be 2 parts) will most likely be shit even though they are being created in Japan. They're changing many aspects of the source material in this adaptation as well.
As far as I know, the only decent live action anime adaptations were the Rurouni Kenshin movies. That's probably due to the fact that they were produced by Warner Bros. which further supports what I said previously.
Edge of Tomorrow was adapted from a Light Novel so I guess that could be considered too. While it had it's flaws (I've not read the source material) it was a pretty good movie.
There's nothing stopping you and me from making all these memories.
