^You're wrong in both the short and the long run.

There's going to be a 2nd referendum anyway. 52% really shouldn't be enough.

well, i dont believe a democratic vote should be able to pass with less then 70%, but i dont think it should of been polled to begin with, and in regards to the long run, therse a lot of outside factors that determine this, its not as simple as myself or you make it out to be

It's actually very simple: The UK will want to continue having access to the European markets or otherwise they are screwed. And because of that, the EU will continue to have the power to enforce EU's rules in the UK. Nothing positive is going to come out of this.

Put it this way, about 75% who play this game are from USA, so if you are one of them how would you like it if another country overruled all your laws and told you what to do all the time, open your borders to let anyone in, told you how much you can fish in your own waters, the list can go on and on and make it worse you had to pay them taxes to do that?

At least now or in 2 years or so when we leave after the notice period we will have more choices in what we want for our self, we will even be able to trade more with our allies like USA, Canada, Australia and countless others growing markets like India, Russia and middle east which EU limited us from doing now. UK is the 2nd largest market in EU and people will want to trade with us.

In a ideal world everyone would get paid the same (based on class of job), everything would cost the same from a pint of milk to cars and houses and we would all pay same taxes but the real world is not like that and UK pay twice as what we get back being apart of EU.

Well said, this is the reason people voted leave, it is just the scaremongering tactics people are jumping onto now and thinking it was the wrong thing to do.

I actually don't like democracy. I've said that before on several threads. This just reaffirms my dislike for it.

Even if we'd voted to remain, I'd still have been unsatisfied that this went to an uneducated public vote. By which I don't mean factors such as intelligence, etc. I mean educated on the facts of leaving/staying. So many didn't know, and went along with ideologies they either were unsure about, or were misled by.

An encouragement of political engagement from an early age would partially solve this problem. I'd be more content knowing a politically astute and informed country were deciding my future, as opposed to potential vast numbers of donkey voters or poorly educated right/left wing extremists.

Unfortunately our biggest mistake is misleading people into thinking their opinion is as valued and important as anyone elses. It isn't; and shouldn't be this way in voting systems.

Having said that, it's sadly the form of government we live under, and nothing (for the time being) will change that fact. I'm not sure how this will run long term, no-one is, and anyone who professes to is lying, so I guess we have to suck it up.

I'm keeping the words 'told you so' very close to my chest, however.

Not defending the Brexit, but for Parliament to go against the wishes of the British people is political suicide.
